Cheap Freight of the day

TCM Freight out of AZ has Midlothian, TX to Prince George posted for $4500 USD. Garbage rate but sadly someone will likely take it. Sigh.

Well get ready! Covid is over and everyone has their backlog of freight and caught up. Now we are back into the undercutting of freight prices for everyone to stay alive and pay their bills, even if they are not making any money. Reminds me of the conversations about rates we were having at work before covid started. We can all say dont take cheap rates but when the finance company, landlord and everyone else you have to pay comes knocking you have to pay. I spoke with people at other companies paying drivers to stay home so they wont lose them ( they are a lot bigger than we are).

Some one is posting on DAT from Richmond, BC to Chicago, IL For $1500 USD for 2200 miles. American company.

But it does not even cover driver's pay.

You are right. Some one will just take it for the sake of moving truck.

I have told numerous people offering these cheap rates that they should be embarrassed to even offer it. I tell them they need to get their sales people out there doing a better job. If they want to run the freight for nothing, I can let them talk to the driver and they can tell him personally he's not worth paying and should work for free. After all, if the freight is that cheap, they must be working for free as well...... Right?

There are good carriers and there are good brokers. Both respect each other, communicate well and understand that this is business....over the long term.

Why is it that there are numerous real estate brokers in the market, yet the commissions they charge for property transactions never seem to decrease? In reality, if we attempt to discuss commissions with real estate brokers, their responses will reveal how we can effectively reject low offers.
Apparently, you are wrong.. from 6% from Remax to $800 flat fee is a huuuuuuge difference...
Not defending, just saying...
