Livingston International

Heard Cole's is assisting in the clearances at the moment, not actually up and running. Pretty bad when you have one of your competitors saving your behind, if it's true anyways. Anyone else confirm this story?

Can we send it to Cole for Clearance? Have had a truck at the border since Sunday,
 
Sent them 6 PARs yesterday on an ltl truck. One cleared about 30 minutes ago, the other five nothing but crickets. Weird.

I'd say the average/ acceptable amount of time is around 1.5 hours. Thing is livingston's Procter and gamble shipments always seem to clear in about 30 minutes. Perhaps they prioritize some customers over others. Or some of their "teams" are better than others.

they definitely prioritize their customers, going back a few years they had large automotive customers that would clear within mins of submission, whereas our other customers took 2 hours or so. I believe they lost some of the automotive business and its been downhill since.

Just had another PARS that took almost 5 days to clear... I was informed by my broker's customer that they were recently hit with some sort of cyber attack but I cannot find any instance of this online? Anyone hear something similar?

This has been the rumor floating around.
Last one was four days for us but then they did one up for us in about 3 hours today.
 
OK Batman....Riddle me this! Sent one over yesterday at noon. Driver waiting at the border since 10am this morning and we've gotten every FRUSTRATING excuse and Bullshit lie they can muster....still not done. Sent a different entry over today at 12:57pm clearance does 14:14pm?? how?? why? and WHY does anyone use these guys!!!! sorry...rant for the day over!!!

They use them because they are cheap, and the customers don't often see how awful they are.
 
The sooner governments do away with customs brokers the better off everyone will be. It's only a matter of time. maybe sooner than we think which is probably why Livingston isn't investing anything in bettering their processes. Just an opinion though ... I really have nothing concrete to back that up.
