Livingston International

Livingston is brutal, always has been and always will. We have been noticing a lot of other brokers are following behind because their customers only care about $$$ and carriers complaining won't change a damn thing. One of the reasons we've had to bring someone on for customs after hours, most brokers require minimum 6-8 hours if not more to even get to a writer.

Affiliated used to be a good broker, now they are in the same mess with Livingston..

I am refusing the freight that has Livingston on it to process the customs. We are running short haul Qc-New England area and I can't afford to have the truck wait for 26 hours at the border.
 
Did anyone recently get a survey from Livingston about their service? It must have struck a nerve, because I took the 5 or 10 minutes from my day to write a scathing comment at the end about how they outsource their customer service to third world countries, take sometimes hours or days to clear a shipment, have nobody answering the phone that can do anything at all to help you, etc. I never thought for a moment any real human would read my comment, much less take my comment into consideration. I was angry that day and my comment reflected that. Someone emailed me today asking to set up a phone call to help understand my concerns! Well, I don't do enough business with Livingston to want to invest more time is speaking with them, but I was surprised that someone actually read that and wanted to follow up with me.

I did go back to my emails and it was not a generic link. It was addressed directly to me. Why? Who knows. I don't have the pleasure of dealing with them that often. Jeremy Freitas was the company contact that sent it. Yes, it would have been nice if we all could send him our thoughts!
