Rob got a fair rate is how I took it.insanity - why not just leave it on the dock?
We where close top 2k and was less than 20 minutes from PU and delivery location is not GTA so that is a bonus to us as well. Rounder $2.96 / mile works for me.Rob got a fair rate is how I took it.
My guess is there was 2 loads and the customer "split" between 2 brokers. Twins probably has 2k in the load.
OMG... wtf kinda bs rates are those? wowzers.
The .01 must be the fuel surcharge..OMG... wtf kinda bs rates are those? wowzers.
I so wanna know which carrier decided to secure these from RXO.
Is that is Bitcoin?
I am more shocked, seeing the delivery window on the second one. Not even one hour. That person who quoted this rate must be jailed for this serious offence in the court of common sense law.
2 grand that's like ten Bolton to BramptonsVancouver, BC > Charlotte, NC
FTL 25,000 lbs
Rate $2,000
2976 miles at a mouth watering 67 cents a mile.
Just live for the day (sooner rather than later) that we get to exist in a carrier's market again. We have long memories..These last few months have really been eye opening... a couple of my long term accounts have dropped me like a hot potato because I wouldn't budge on my pricing. Others have been more accommodating. In these tough times it becomes clear who one's friends are.. and which accounts truly value their suppliers.
I paid similar for a flatbed from Burlington to Brossard last week. Now I feel like a shitty broker..should have been able to move it for $451.01 if only I had the proper carrier relationships..I just paid 1400 for 20ft dedicated from Lindsay - Saint Jerome QC - 4.14 a mile.
Kinda wild that BC-NC is 2000.
Man get someone to haul it for $297.30. Treat yourself.I paid similar for a flatbed from Burlington to Brossard last week. Now I feel like a shitty broker..should have been able to move it for $451.01 if only I had the proper carrier relationships..
My sense is that the turn around is just around the corner.. we've been through this so many times before... 1997... 2005... 2012... 2015.. Looking forward to selling into a strong robust market once again.. at least something that can withstand reasonable rates.I wonder what has to happen for the market to flip? Return of the Dinosaurs? Jesus? A second meteor?
