Cheap Freight of the day

CAT is moving a lot of literal garbage to Atlantic Packaging. Seems like 50% of their loads go to Whitby now.
Yep and dropped all teh rates. It will not be like this forever boys and girls our day as a carrier is coming. The sooner the better because with the so called rates being offered there may be no equipment around to haul it. Some Yankee jack off got all upset when i asked who the idiot was that rated a load to St Louis for 800 bucks. Drivers make not like it but the shit can sit against the fence before I will haul it at a loss on purpose.

Did they undercut CH on all the lanes?

Last I knew, CH basically controlled 95% of the Atlantic Packaging freight, this was years ago though.

Huronia had some that paid not too bad. Last time I called them for some east coast stuff they'd had to drop their rates substantially to keep their account, because of the big brokers trying to undercut them.

Thats sucks Huronia had to drop rates to keep the account, Mark is good peeps! I'd much rather see Huronia succeed than CH or CAT.

we stopped hauling Atlantic loads a while back now. They mess up your trailers and half the time, those "appts" the chirp about they don't even follow them. I assume they pay fair if you work with them directly, but through the brokers its not worth it. Its a dumb reality we live in where 1 guy undercuts his rates to "keep the account" when the next time around another guy cuts even further to "win the account". Only way this ends is stop hauling cheap.

Well I suspect a lot of brokerages are going broke because of this silliness. As with carriers, everyone is grabbing at anything, and it's just causing everyone to drown a little slower.
It'd be hard to convince me to drive from my yard to Whitby and back though the city twice for 850 bucks let alone from PA.
