National Freight Forwarding/Gilson Freight/Tesla Logistics

@national12 there is nothing amusing about this double, tripled or quadrupled brokered load and holding a load hostage for payment.

Someone said the freight was from BA Cartons. It is unlikely this freight was just for inventory and most likely it is needed for production. What are the costs to shut down a production line?

Did BA Cartons have to make new product on a rush order and what are those costs. Is there another load intransit to replace this load? What did that cost?

Is LM3 going to lose their customer over this? It takes years to build a relationship with shippers and this load will destroy that in an instant. Is LM3 going to fire someone?

I have had my share of double brokered loads. We spent a lot of time and money in court and on lawyers over Montreal Express Transport AKA M.E.T. TRANSPORT (1093366 ONT. INC.).

Real world consequences.

Everyone on this forum understands how serious this is and has offered numerous ways for you to deliver and get paid. Your comments have done nothing but tarnish your reputation.

@Rob said it best "deliver the bloody load"

To all the forum members, can we crowd source a Canadian version of Carrier411?

To the site owners, please bring back the donation button, we need to keep this forum going to help remove the pirates from trucking.

To all,

The load is on the move, as said yesterday about the so called L3M. L3M appears to be a dubious character who did the same thing Tesla Logistics did to us. Tesla refused to pay us which is why we directly reached out to the shipper (SAM from BA Carton's), who asked us to talk with L3M to resolve the matter. Further email exchanges and a phone call with L3M were ineffective. L3M requested that we dispose of or trash the load because the client is uninterested. We tried reaching out to the shipper afterward to get a confirmation on disposing of the loads. It seems like L3M itself is a fraudster, and they're paying this guy named SAM in commissions to fetch loads from them. L3M tendered the load to Gillson without verifying if they were the brokers or the carriers and blaming us for the same when they themselves are no less than Tesla.

L3M came to the public platform and started seeking help from the people when we gently invited them to visit our office to get this resolved and see with their own eyes what we are doing regarding our operations.

If we ever had any bad intentions, we wouldn't have approached the shipper, but L3M jumped in from nowhere and started publishing about our image. L3M certainly did this to show themselves as victims when they had no intention to resolve this.

We respect this public platform and respect the members. We've read about people vouching for the L3M, but we don't know who they are because they don't have names, only sudo or made-up names.

To update everyone so that we can prove our innocence, the load will be dropped at one of the 3rd party cross docks, Either the shipper or the broker may feel free to pick up the load from the warehouse. BA Cartons or L3M can send their people to inspect the load before it can be loaded onto their truck once the payment is made to us.

Some keyboard warrior dragged Golden Freight into this, i would advise you to reach msc, Hapag, or Maersk to check our credibility. There are thousands of trucking companies in North America that will stand to vouch for L3M, but will any of the major shipping lines? Well, check with any of the above mentioned vessel operators about us and unfold the true story.
I wonder why you now chose to go to a 3rd party warehouse....maybe it wasn't your truck and trailer afterall ;-)

NFFI has extended credit to Tesla. This isn't the only factor into all this but is certainly something that no one brought up. I do not believe either that NFFI actually has the material in his truck but even so, they have dealt with Tesla, so I was happy to see L3M telling them to go see Tesla for payment, if their offer isnt good enough.

Also, I find it awkward that NFFI showed up on this board like less than an hour after the initial post from L3M. This made me think that among users we have those fraudsters most likely watching.

As far as I am concerned, everyone in this triple/quadruple is on the DNU list here. For either reason of being part of a fraud, or else for being neglectant in its business practices. This second option is often leftout but to me, the neglectance will also apply to the respect of delivering on-time and following any special instructions. These type of operations care about one thing: How much you pay. The rest, they can put your freight on train, double broker it, they could not care less.

My 2 cents.

No, because in this case, NFFI is not the carrier (allegedly) however I feel for the (alleged) poor soul that is pulling this freight without knowing the crapshoot that's going on. Again everything and pure speculation
Then this poor guy should have trusted his guts and came back empty rather than extending credit to NFFI or anyone being the last broker in this amazing scenario. Know who you are dealing with is important. Do not let your business be driven by the need for freight or great price offer without proper validations. Everyone in the industry, both brokers and carriers, need to improve on that subject. Spoke recently to one carrier who has given credit to a stranger because they had the perfect load for them, coming back from Alaska to Montreal, QC. Guess who's running for their money now...

Yeah, I agree, they definitely should have waited to match up with a reputable company. Coming back empty to BC isn't an option, have you seen the price of fuel and driver pay?? LOL

As carriers whether you want to admit it or not have all been in scenarios where trucks have been stuck and have had t book a less-than-desirable backhaul, but in no case should you flex your credit terms, better to have the driver wait another day than haul for free.

Exactly. He could have paid a nice cruise in Alaska to his driver rather than agree to haul load. Much better coming down to BC with real money in the end than hauling from Alaska with bogus money he'll never see. Keep in mind that if you agree to go quebec to Alaska, they already factored in their outbound price the very real possibilities to be reloaded only in BC. There lies the perfect catch in which most carriers will fall. Accepting this load probably meant an extra 5000$ of revenue that a BC load would not have given them. Worst part is that they have to factor in the prices the cost for doing business with those people. SO, in the end, legit brokers like us will face higher prices so they they can recover these losses. It's just like in the retail market. They budget a percent of their pruchases to be stolen by customers.

Sad to see this.

LMAO! No, unfortunately the food grade product that was supposed to deliver on February 6th at 8am was never delivered and its whereabouts continues to be an unknown. If it's ever found, it will have to be delivered back to our customer on this end now. We are still fighting the good fight on a number of levels though.

Has their insurance responded to the claim yet?
