I have to ask ... Is there any real value in LoadLink?

We did and they called me yesterday regarding, 1 day this week I worked from home using my computer laptop. Logged in loadlink for something that day so they called us to advise that starting Monday you can't use it remotely unless we pay $550 additional / month. I just can't remember if that was per user / month or just a general fee / month. Either way not worth it. My issue to it was I thought users were locked to a specific computer so if its the same computer doing the work what's the issue where it is.

Looks like its time to call IT.. good suggestion. We work off a RDS anyways for our daily stuff so goes right in line with everything else we do

I swear if netflix employed some of LL's "policies" my stocks would be doing better LOL. You gotta wonder when a huge American conglomerate like DAT came along and bought out LL looked at their books and said "cool, looks great keep doing what you're doing" and never stepped foot into the Canadian market. Its a monopoly and a rip off for what you get in return, but hey we still use it so jokes on me.

Well after 25yrs of being under their thumb we just told them to stick it!! They went from $40 an extra user to $300!!! So long LL!
Not only that. The girl who I spoke with to cancel was working from home!!!

What is this thing of a membership or do you pay for a subscription. Seems to be brokers/ carriers think they have protection from Load link ( this is not true)
need to find other solutions.

Load Link is simply a clearing house for loads and truck capacity for which you have to pay a monthly subscription fee. They offer a few additional services but essentially they are a marketplace where buyers and sellers of transportation services can conduct business. Any idea that they somehow offer a level of protection is entirely false. Like all other business transactions…..it remains buyer beware. A load link membership means nothing more than someone has paid a subscription fee, or in todays crime riddled industry, maybe someone has stolen another entiities membership! Due diligence is still the order of the day.

The only true values in load link is if the posting are true postings on both the available trucks and available loads. Load link allows too many false postings. Load Link need to take more control of false postings or as people call it " just turned on load link" Load Link needs to clear postings as a person logs off. So that when you log back on you have to add your postings if needed. Might eliminate some of the BS postings. Just a thought.

A long and cumbersome process if you've got hundreds of loads to post. But I agree that posters should endeavour to keep their loads updated as much as possible. That's often hard to do though as shippers tender their loads out to multiple vendors, and no one is advised when loads are covered until the next updated list of loads comes up. In a sense Loadlink and the other load posting services are just a platform... they really can't be held to account for content anymore than the phone company can be held responsible for crank calls or the use of profane language..

So load link seem to police on one side but let false postings and wasting carriers/ dispatchers time for false postings? And you think that is ok? If they are going to police the site they need to do the whole job and not be selective on what seems to work for them.

Perhaps a better analogy ... LoadLink is simply the paper in your printer. The paper manufacturer has no way to dictate or mitigate what you print on that paper.

Yes and no, they own the platform and have control of the backend software, and they are comparable to Facebook, if I post profanities and explicit content I go to Facebook jail and it's built into their programming to pick up keywords and whatnot. LL is NOT like the phone company although they act like it, your phone company cannot control who you call and who can contact you to an extent, they only care if the bill is paid just like LL but the difference is LL can control these things if they want to, you folks pay them a lot of money. LL is a digital platform and should be held to a higher standard.
