I have to ask ... Is there any real value in LoadLink?

So true Mike. It’s sad to say, but there are lazy carriers and lazy brokers out there who post non existent trucks and non existent loads. Carriers “just looking” to see what’s out there and what it pays in that particular neighborhood just in case they end up there at some time in the future. Brokers posting phantom loads to gauge what the “going rate” is for trucks out of a particular region. Combine that with carry over posts from days gone by and one has to wonder….” How many actual trucks and how many real loads are there.”
Excellent and true statement

Once again, time to rant...
Trucks from Ontario to Alberta van or reefers there are postings of over 360 trucks, Dispatcher has been calling for over and hour to the suppose available trucks/ carriers with posted trucks,, yet all are saying no trucks available as per the "carriers" Why does LoadLink allow this to happen. If you have a truck,, post it, if you don't have a truck,, don't post it . Come on people this is not hard to understand. Let's get it together. Also Loadlink get your crap together. Stop wasting companies times.

You can block people that waste your time on LL. It'll never show you another posting from them again. You think Link staff can call on every posting and make sure it's legit?

i am not asking to check every posting but, why cant we report false postings maybe them carriers might clean up their act knowing they could get cancelled from the board if they don't follow the rules by false posting.

Well it's a good idea but what if you just have a vendetta against a certain user? Much like on this board, accusations (real or not) get thrown around constantly. Unfortunately we have to be our own gatekeepers. I dislike that it skews the truck/load ratio immensely and makes it hard to plan. (Plus Truck News uses that data to report on freight indexes and stuff, which is makes it inaccurate. (Especially when brokers like TQL post 40 of the same load, just in slightly different cities.)

So true so i guess the question again is " Is there any real value in LoadLink?"
