Cheap Freight of the day

@Melroy75 seems like a lot of brokers posting the same load, i wonder if the shipper reached out to all those brokers directly, or is someone is attempting to double broker the same freight. kinda surprised to see Highlight Logistics on that list.

At first I thought the same but knowing that its Recycled paper and its going to Whitby/Scarborough its probably an Atlantic pkg load or one of the other packaging companies in that area. I don't think there's enough of a margin to DB on those but the guy that hit me with $300 bucks sure seems suspect LOL .We were asked to quote on some of these yesterday, but our rate I guess was too high, the same broker reached out this morning with the tag line " WE NEED HELP", and then saw everyone else pop up on the link. This might just be a cheap shipper, but its eye opening to see how many brokers share the same "shipper".

not too shocked considering the commodity, it's only a numbers game with these kind of players.

Most likely the shipper works with multiple brokers/carriers, we see it a lot with "garbage" shippers. Personally, I wouldn't want a smelly and gnat-infested trailer for pennies but I'm sure someone will jump on these types of loads just to keep their trucks moving,

Believe it or not, but there are some shippers who actually believe that each broker has his “own” stable of available carriers. I mean sure, a broker might deal with some small, one-man show from time to time, but most days we are all fishing out of the same pond filled with carriers. I have brought this to the attention of a few shippers over the years and although they could grasp the concept I was describing, they still thought that by offering to multiple brokers, they could save a buck. The expression”you get what you pay for” could never be more appropriate in this situation!

Tell a joke: Today, I wanted to travel from home to destination B. I approached the first company, PL, and they quoted me 3000. Then I checked with TR, and they offered 2800. Feeling it was still expensive, I discovered FB, and surprisingly, their quote dropped to 2000. However, my wallet was still not up to the task. I turned to LN, found a quote for 1100, and someone even snatched the deal. But in just 5 minutes, someone else offered 800, guaranteeing a timely arrival. Being on a tight budget and somewhat ruthless, I explored other options and found DR. DR said, "500 is all you need," explaining that it's enough for me to live in my home country for two weeks. With a frugal heart, I hopped onto DR's vehicle and safely reached my destination.

High cube dry vans from Toronto to London, drop trailer at receiver for 48 hours for $400 CAD. all in.
Fortus group.
Just say no.. Everybody does it for a couple days = shit changes. There will always be the game players the Fuel, Fortus TQL etc that have no money in a rate ever until they need the truck. I got 2.75 US out of TQL on a 1000 mile outbound early this week. The money is there if you all would just say no.
