and paid carriers less than 10 of it.They did almost 50mm in sales - can you believe this?
They will if everyone says no all it takes is what two days and docks are full rates go up. Supply and demand we as carriers need too create a false demand by all saying no too all the cheap shit the cheap shit still needs to move so the rate will have to go up if they cannot cover at the amazing rates some are offering now.we can keep saying no to rates but trucks do need to keep moving too
Can we somehow involve the government in this plan as well ? That surely will turn out fine !Need to make a standard on rates so all an even playing field. the only ones that suffer when loads dont get moved is the consumers
you know involving government gives them control and would charge fees to us and consumers we all loose thenCan we somehow involve the government in this plan as well ? That surely will turn out fine !
That concept didn't work to well for Canada Bread.... or Gas stations.... price fixing is a no no in the public eyes.Need to make a standard on rates so all an even playing field. the only ones that suffer when loads dont get moved is the consumers
So we will centralize the rates for all combinations of lanes x trailer type x freight volume, but we cannot let the government or a private 3rd party be in control, because they will abuse the power for their own benefit. We need crypto trucking !
Hard Pass.Need an association to help monitor the pricing so we all make money but on same playing field
But government will just ruin it for all
Not sure if you were around prior to De-Regulation, but, it wasn't an equal playing field either, even though it was supposed to be. Associations monitoring (price fixing) rates...You were to choose a carrier by service or region. the truth was, what ever companies were willing to buy a customers business won. Trips/freebees/stuffing pockets...the real winners were the traffic Managers. The losers were the paying customers. Carriers had to determine how thin a net margin they were willing to work with. It was a different time, but, one way or another, it was the same. It too was a race to the bottom, just a different route.Need an association to help monitor the pricing so we all make money but on same playing field

Their issue is brokers is all they have for customers and living and dying off the internet load boards will be a slow death is a tight economy. If you want to survive or have a better chance of doing so get rid of the brokers as much as possible, Brokers can be your best buds all they want but at the end of the day they care about their business profitability not yours. The scummy ones do not care about carriers ever and we all know who those ones are., stop servicing unprofitable customers
Wont happen in our lifetimes. Brokers have become the logistics departments of too many companies to cut them off. Its cheaper and more efficient for shippers. There was a time where companies employed multiple people (actual departments) to source/vet/trace carriers and their shipments. Now its done by one person who has their real job to do on top.Their issue is brokers is all they have for customers and living and dying off the internet load boards will be a slow death is a tight economy. So I've seen a VERY slight shift where companies are taking back control from brokers/3pls/management companies.Wont happen in our lifetimes. The Caramilk secret lies in dealing with the good brokers, and, letting the others die on the vine.
