Yes, they do. best rate ever i got paid by, was TQL as well( not Covid times) $5500 USD for 1200 miles. They needed team on Friday for Saturday night delivery and before i can say any numbers, guy said $5000 USD and i was kind of shock and was trying to digest it and then he said $5500 and i said give me 5 minutes. he said don't hang up, put on hold, check dispatch and i had team coming back, check their hours and committed to the load.
it was loaded trailer coming from north with US carrier who was refused entering into US by US customs.

YES, TQL paid that amount, 4.50 plus per mile.
Makes me think that do they have that big margin or that poor guy got burned for nothing.

got call for a Toronto to Calgary dry load and they said best they have is 3600.00 CAD
asked if this was plus fuel they said nope and had to go over the road
how are we all to stay in business with these ridiculous prices

I had a partner carrier tell me someone asked him to haul a 49000 lb stepdeck load from Montreal to Calgary for 4k. Then the broker said he was only making $100 on the load. I swear, where do these people have the nerve to offer that garbage! Wild.

rate are crazy right now ..so much crap on rates
only brokers making the money. no wonder carrier cant pay the bills
 
Well once again i post about CHEAP RATES.. what is up seems like only ones making dough are brokers. Rates are like GTA to AB for 4300.00 or 3600.00. what is up with this we will all go broke

we all say no the rate has nowhere to go but up. But alas carriers book at a loss and bitch...Are most brokers being douchcanoes right now yep they are because they can say no and all of a sudden they can't anymore.. Just sayin..

If someone keeps taking these loads, that is all they'll offer. Someone is doing it for cheap. Most likely putting it on rail and cramming two of these loads into one can.
