To be fair - I-way had been around for 12 years, so this is their first go at shutting down and reopening as far as I know. but we have already DNU'd the new company here.

Any kind of formal information - I have some clients who use them who should be finding out sooner rather than later
 
If you look up Safe Drive Intermodal on Loadlink the Equifax for I-Way pops up. Not sure if this is a subsidiary that was operating before this or something new.
 
We received a call from their factoring company today advising us that they are seizing operations. Word of double brokering has surfaced on the last loads they completed for us. Their invoices have been placed on hold, a hard DNU. They are also operating as Safe Drive Intermodal (211-692-073) which we have also placed on DNU.

Please post any new compagnies that you may have wind they are operating under. We do feel pitty for compagnies who are no longer able to operate due to the circumstances of the market but to still take loads and double-broker them is just a form of scam we will not tolerate.

Do you have any proof of the double broker?

They had 2 loads on the road for us when they closed up, both delivered fine but now I am concerned.
 
Those were 100% double brokered. copy pasted email that we received below. Id hold invoices to see what surfaces so you're protected

Hello,

We just received a call from JD Factor (Linda, 1-905-501-5000 ext. 227). She informed our Accounts Payable team that I-Way Transport has closed its doors.

Regarding the load from Richmond, BC to Brampton that we coordinated through you:
We contracted Oakroad Logistics, who in turn contracted I-Way Transport Inc., and they subcontracted Global Freightways Ltd. Global Freightways is now seeking payment from I-Way Transport. Since I-Way has ceased operations, we advised them to collect payment from Oakroad Logistics.
