I-Way Transport

Broker here: - back in the first week of August I got this from I-Way - directing me to start tendering loads to Safe Drive. When I asked about the affiliation between the 2.... "Everything is same same staff, same trucks its just the invoicing is under Safe drive intermodal." so we played along but accidentally booked a few more loads with I-way. No one corrected us, so we used the 2 interchangeably with no issue/ disruption. Asked "I-Way" for a rate / availability yesterday and got No reply at all. Asked "Safe Drive Intermodal" for the same request and got very timely replies and information. For now, SDI on DNU until dust settles.

We've been getting inquiries from Safe Drive and they mentioned that they were the same people from i-Way. However, they email on freight that requires road service to places in AB or BC. They mention that they only go as far as Winnipeg, so I almost always pass since I don't want freight to go by rail by accident or their convenience. Just don't want to try.
 
I just phoned I-way. Got someone on the phone who said that they were a victim of fraud. Someone using @i-waytransportation.com as email domain sent emails to various people and making notice of banking info changes!! I-way claims to still be in business, and to only reply to and request from emails ending in @i-waytrans.com. Please be vigilant folks.

something is going on here and do not think all of it is on up and up. Have been told they are done been told switched names and now identity theft. Older posts about non payment of a lot of money on yard etc. Too many red flags for us at this point DNU or book a load from them until it all plays out and we find out the real story if ever.

I can only tell you for certain my contact was let go last week with a bunch of others, he said they are closing up shop.
 
I got to know that they have rented Pride 6050 dixie location and one bay for shop. They are changing decals from Iway to safe drive.

Also lot of trailers are on Richtie's Auction
