VIA STRADA Transport - Milton

They arent bad but they do charge a 5% brokerage fee on top of their fee for every load so stay on top of them for payment. They average about 20 days with us.

I was going to give them freight but chose not to for certain reasons.
I thought it was illegal to charge a brokerage fee on top of an agreed rate??? Why bother with coming up with an agreed rate if they are going to charge you money on top of that? How retarded is that? I just don't get it??

I agree but many companies do eg Gallop Logistics in Toronto they charge 8% on top of every load.

I'm sorry...call me silly but that is an insult. They are already making at least 15-20% from their customer. There has been a discussion about this before because Concord Freight did the same thing.

Via Strada

Viastrada is owed by Rob Dickson...also know as the dispatcher at Concord Freight....who from what i hear has a lot of issues with carriers

He is a con-artist and talks alot about nothing

Beware!!!!!!!!!!

JUST WONDERING HOW THERE PAYING THESE DAYS? ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

They charge % for there brokerage on top of the agreed rate, then charge them % of fuel on top of the agreed rate.

Gallop

I agree but many companies do eg Gallop Logistics in Toronto they charge 8% on top of every load.

Gallop dont put an extra 8% on the loads. They divulge the rate that the customer is paying them (example $3000.00 US) and the truck gets $3000.00 US less 8%. So the truck broker works for 8%,. In this case $256.00 US

Via Strada

These guys are the same people that ran Concord Freight. They will take their percentage, however, they do not verbally tell you that. It used to be on their load confirmation but if you fail to read the fine print you do not know about it until you get paid and that's when the arguments begin. We were 45-60 days to get paid and we had to chase it and we received all kinds of excuses.

i'm confused, are they taking % off freight they broker out, so if I have a load confirmation here for $1000.00 they aren't gonna give me $1000.00, i took a load friday for a sunday pick up and monday delivery, then late in the day i got a fax from them, said oh ya, load cancelled, you still want it for wednesday. Oh ya thanks for screwing up my monday. Noticed some postings for slow pay, not sure what to do with this one now.
