Oddly enough I see info on this company in the "report a non paying freight broker".

We have received several calls over the past couple weeks from this company, but never used them. Finally seemed to connect with them on this particular load.

As it turns out they are a freight broker only not a carrier!! We never used them, obviously. We have reported them to Link (we'll see what they do about it), not sure why/how they are calling on our posted freight. Their authorities are clearly broker only.

If they are calling us, they may be calling some of you out there. If they do call you please report to Link so they will do something about it.

BEWARE !!

Thank you for the information. It is always good to see this type of information being shared. We need to weed out the double brokers.

Wow. That's weird.

My guess is it's the rep and not the company though. TQL is not a bad company, and I say this as their competition!

well over 60 days

These guys are horrible, they push with their thumb on you, and treat you like a low life, then when it comes to pay, they take forever. Run the other way, when these guys come calling.

Does anyone remember Intransit based in Medford, OR. I opened up a voice mail just for their calls. This TQL has the same garbage freight for rates that are not sustainable. Furthermore, companies that haul freight for those kind of rates do significant damage to the trucking industry. TQL had a load from Montreal to Phoenix yesterday and were offering 3400.00 US (1.29/mile), is there a polite way of handling such a call?

Tql

Maybe the rates are low because it is double brokered? Bill payment problems? Maybe the broker found out and not paying them. If I did loads for them I would be checking to see who the real broker was and cut a deal with them.

Just to clarify TQL in no way present themselves as a broker (quite the opposite), they even removed their signature stating they are a broker in their initial email to us. When we did our due diligence and called them back and asked why would you call me if you are a broker and how can you see it on link? They turtled and said lots of Canadian brokers use us. WOW !!
The last email they sent included the signature stating "6th largest broker". Magically it appeared on their email once their scam was found out!

Update>>Link finally called me back and is looking into situation. If you discover you have double brokered freight or they hauled for you acting as a carrier please email link @ complaints@linklogi.com. At least it puts the heat on them to get rid of this crap.

My customer told me yesterday that they quoted them $4400cad all in for a flatbed 45000lbs MTL to Phoenix..
unreal

tql usa

they cut in reefers to nogales to montreal they give 5000.00$ us and robinson 5500.00$ traffic tech 5800.00$ so i guess they just cutting the price and alot of people take them....but is bad for the industrie.

They are a rather LARGE company -- something like 3 offices in the Ohio area and employ about 400 agents (more for supervisors and middle-men). They work on 33% on the revenue of the freight. In the example listed above, they'd make $333 on one load -- to the agent. That's an obsurd amount of mark-up. Hell, I'd work for TQL if I could find suckers to take the freight that low and I got to laugh at them when my paycheques come in.

I got talking to one of the guys, just to see what kind of industry-lowlifes they can be.... and they admit it! I guess it's the mentality that is instilled in the office there -- carriers are garbage.... get whoever you can to do the work, you get paid.

Sigh.

  • Upload your load documents titled “Final Pay Paperwork” in the TQL Carrier Dashboard app
  • Email your paperwork to CInvoices@tql.com with your PO# in the subject line
Contact our Payment Resolutions Team at 1.800.580.3101 ext. 69355 or prt@tql.com. Please have your TQL PO # available.

For as much as I dislike using them, they seldom don't pay on time and if so it just seems to be an honest mistake and they tend to rectify it quickly.

Remember, when it comes to TQL and any other medium to large brokerage, it is all about the money. They do not care about the carrier, how shiny their trucks, how well you handled the load, how great you were to communicate, how many trucks the carrier has etc. They only care about the almighty lowest rate and if they can get that by cheating, stealing or lying they will. It's business.....sadly. Take it for what it is then move on or choose not to use them.

"Only care about the almighty lowest rate, and if we can get that by cheating, stealing or lying, we will." - This is allegedly TQL's mission statement. If you are a carrier run!
