Yep but still douche canoes in most folks books. We will do loads for them if they pay so usually 1 a year.Just to stir the pot... with just over 4 Billion in revenue... seems to me like a lot of people are taking their calls.
Perhaps it's to re-position equipment - Maybe... but that's a helluva lot of freight no matter how you break it down,

Butthole is rightTheir latest was 1800 us from Dallas TX to Toronto ON. Sad thing is someone butthole took the load.
probably covered in 4 minutes alsoTheir latest was 1800 us from Dallas TX to Toronto ON. Sad thing is someone butthole took the load.
like they have TQL on speed dial !!!!probably covered in 4 minutes also
latley all ive been hearing is " i need the load so ill take it !"like they have TQL on speed dial !!!!
Sounds like you too employ TQL tactics.latley all ive been hearing is " i need the load so ill take it !"
if its not on the confirmation you will never get it, don't waste your time calling them.......they don't honor their word. If its not on the original confirmation, you will never get a penny extra.Hi
Wanted to know if anyone can help with how TQL works - there is a broker who owes me a layover and TONU - I have it on email - he i snot responding - is there someone else I can email - thanks for your help
update - this worked - thank youContact our Payment Resolutions Team at 1.800.580.3101 ext. 69355 or prt@tql.com. Please have your TQL PO # available.
- Upload your load documents titled “Final Pay Paperwork” in the TQL Carrier Dashboard app
- Email your paperwork to CInvoices@tql.com with your PO# in the subject line
For as much as I dislike using them, they seldom don't pay on time and if so it just seems to be an honest mistake and they tend to rectify it quickly.
also that they can repower your load for ANY reason and bill you for the repower - that one is scaryI found the TQL dashboard with their load postings & I can not believe that people take these loads.
-no detention before 6 hours
-FCFS
-no additional $ for extra weight
-fines for late paperwork
-no TONU unless truck is already on site for loading.
These are just a few of the comments I saw on their loads. Do companies actually agree to these terms?
or you could just use better brokers... you shouldn't have to negotiate better terms than six hours... or have to triple the bid to make it worth your while. You can call carrier support and advise your own detention settings.
You can also bid triple the rate and there's a chance you can get it.
out of the crazy amount of people they got working over there, we'ev only had good success with 1 person and thats pretty much the only load we do for TQL if it comes up, its not consistent but pays about $6/mile for a DV. Dont let that RPM excite you its a short local run and it comes with some BS (match seals, check product batch numbers etc etc). but its not bad filler freight when our guys are zipping around town and in between pick ups. THAT BEING SAID, out of all of the other interactions I have had with TQL, they are the scourge of the earth. I can confidently say, we'ev had to eat around 2 to 3K in DET, TONU's, Layovers etc over the years of working with them. Now a days its fun when they call us for some load they have in mexico or some corner of the states and desperately need a truck to cover it.... I always have the equipment and the driver with the hours to do it before the line goes "click". Its my small piece of heaven on earth.also that they can repower your load for ANY reason and bill you for the repower - that one is scary
when we were new and stupid we beleived the broker that these won't apply ... since then occasionally we will pick a load - directly from a borker we have worked with before usually west based that actually do not follow this .... we have received detention / TONU no issues ... but have to be careful which broker
well put -or you could just use better brokers... you shouldn't have to negotiate better terms than six hours... or have to triple the bid to make it worth your while.
