This is giving typical scam vibes. Blame the owner of the old company and so on. Senditover, my advice would be whatever you're doing, you should stop it. Once the big brokers and carriers associate your name with scammers, it will be hard for you to start a legitimist business down the road when you decide to go legit. That's my 2 cents.

@senditover it goes a long way if you can step up and help these folks and your customers in the process by trying to resolve the issues. I'm sure you'll figure out how to go about it. IMO put the pitch forks down on both sides and try to find a way to sort this mess out. Trucking is a relationship business, and these things happen how you deal with them is what will set you apart from the rest.

I've sent across my contact for carriers if they need to contact me for info, of which some have already. The customers have been well aware for some time now as well and I have provided them all necessary contact info as well and continue to stay in touch with them regarding the payments. I'm trying my best to be transparent and honest, personally never been in this sort of situation ever so if there is any other suggestions you can let me know here or shoot me a PM.
only other thing I can suggest, don't take the comments on this forum personally. You can empathize with these companies who have lost money since you got screwed like them, with your commissions. Take' em on the chin, and hope it works out in the end. I give you kudos for stepping up here and at least having a discussion and offering solutions. That is commendable in my books.

Duly noted, I wish there was a Dana White in this industry that could put these types of scammers in the octagon with the debtors and we could just go at them with no mercy.
Ya still can kinda, just need a dark alley, a rolling office chair, some duct tape, a piece of wood with the word Louisville burnt in on it, and the year to be 1980. Kinda tough nowadays with cell phones and security cameras everywhere..

we don’t know who kulbir was until we lost our money. You were the face of the company and people who lost money have a right to question your ass. I had no intention to see you as a culprit until i saw google profile changed from Sequel to Balken. Now its removed but still you can see it in the history. Despite everything I even tried to vouch for you but he had a different story to tell. See the screenshot.

The face yes, but that's how they orchestrated it to try and frame someone else as the culprit for their scam. You can do a simple run by the customer to confirm the account funds were sent to and that'll put everything else to rest. Some people really think lying their way through life will get them out of any situation.

We need to get to the bottom of the story before we take out your name from the suit. He says you bought sequel freight from kulbir. Is it true? I am putting screenshots so you know i am not bringing proofs out of the thin air.

I agree, but what i figured out so far kulbir has 51% and Faruk has 49% of share in this company officially. So both of them are together into this mess. I was thinking Faruk is just a victim like all of us, but
as per kulbir, He has 51% share in the company and Faruk has 49% share of the company. From this story seems like both of them are together into this mess. I am waiting for the official documents of the company and we can go from their. I don't want either one of them to face a trial if they are innocent.

No shares, I billed Sequel for my sales commission for the month each month and that was it. I have the invoices and emails to prove it where I was following up on late payments from my corporation. No shares and no access to their bank accounts. Now he's trying to drag me into this and trying to tarnish my reputation. He will be sued for defamation as this keeps going on for too long and people need to be paid. STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND LIES.

Update: Since we sent a legal notice, we immediately got a settlement offer of full payment, including the lawyer’s fee. The payment date is scheduled for tomorrow. I will keep you posted.
