Looking for payment history for Scout Logistics Ltd, 3351 Dundas St West, Toronto. Any references would be greatly appreciated.

Scout is owned by the person who owned Gallop Logistics before it was sold to Greatwide. While I don't do business with him, I don't think $ is an issue.

Any new information on their payment trends etc ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Any information would be appreciated - thank you.

We did some produce loads February & March 2013

Paid C.O.D. .. never a problem with payment on an invoice.

However .. they will not pay anything over the line haul rate, even though they agree to pay a layover or detention when a problem occurs, you will end up writing that off at the end of the year, as we do each year.

As mentioned by someone else ... the arrogance still shows, and that.s the truth.

So they were setup with NO TERMS? No credit was extended - COD only?

They don't provide "revised confirmations" for any extra charges then?

Not off to a good start here....

Terms are Net 15 for them based on their past.

No they will not issue a revised rate confirmation. At the time of pick up if there are time delays you will not be paid for anything over and above the rate confirmation.

If there are no loading time delays, then there is no problem. We have learned that they pay no extras.

Hi we have also just ran into this problem as well. We sat at a pickup in Toronto from 12 - 5pm for Scout. We advised them every hour what was going on. We were told we would get paid waiting time and now there dispatch team is now refusing to pay. Now there sighting they don't pay waiting. Does anyone have any input we need some help here.

Input: Don't deal with "Produce" brokers...they never honor waiting time, you are expected to be grateful for the freight they are putting on your truck, even if it takes 5 hours!...at least that is the mentality we always came up against at Gallop (and their new company - Scout). I am sure your waiting time money was generously donated to one of the causes/charity's that Scout supports and posts on their LinkedIn/Facebook etc. (If that helps you feel any better...I doubt it...) BUT you will get paid for your line haul fairly quick from previous posts...basically C.O.D. (one of the few perks of dealing with produce brokers at times). My 2 cents for the day

On a slightly different note...is any else getting LinkedIn requests from their dispatchers?

...Gary, although I'm not impressed with the way they conduct their business - I don't want to put someone's full name on the internet.

Gary Texas ... I know Gary very well. Usually if Gary tells you something, you can take it to the bank. However, call the main number, ask for Lorne, explain your issue, and perhaps the big cheese can do something for you. I know everyone says "don't deal with produce brokers" but Scout is one of the good guys ... they really do try to do the best they can for you. And, yes, they do pay in 24 hours :)
