Go after the shipper and receiver call and have a honest conversation about how it all went down and they might help you, after that bill both of them.
 
These people are the shadiest, most unethical people we have ever dealt with. We have tendered them loads and at first the relationship went well. However, soon, they decided that we weren't paying fast enough (we were paying them within 14 days of delivery and sending the checks to them via Fed Ex). This then resulted in them holding a load hostage until we paid all of our outstanding invoices. We issued checks to them and paid (even faster than the 7-14 days) in an effort to get our customer's freight delivered. They sent us PODs for the shipments and we then found out after trying to verify the freight had delivered that the PODs they sent us had been falsified. We immediately stopped payment on the checks we had sent to them. They have called the office and threatened us with losing our customer, cussed us out, and told us we would never be able to cross the border again. In this process, we have found that they have double brokered out freight and are not paying the carriers that actually did the work. In the past 24 hours they have received 4 freight guard reports from carriers on carrier 411. The reports have not been released, but we can only assume other carriers are having the same issues we have experienced in the past few weeks.

Just to clarify the following occurred:

1. You were advised they delivered freight
2. You were provided the "pod", which was falsified
3. Harass you and threaten your business


Seems like you have to get a lawyer asap as what they did is fraud and you can respective legal action.
 
ON AUGUST 17TH, WE ISSUED A FREIGHT GUARD REPORT ON THIS CARRIER. IN RETALIATION, THEY ARE NOW THREATENING PHYSICAL HARM TO MEMBERS OF OUR STAFF AND THEIR FAMILIES. PLEASE BEWARE IF YOU CHOOSE TO OVERLOOK ALL OF THESE REPORTS AND STILL BOOK WITH THEM. MATT AT THEIR OFFICE IS MENTALLY UNSTABLE. HE HAS NOW TAKEN THIS OVER THE LINE BY THREATENING PHYSICAL HARM.
 
received calls from 2 people who got caught, reading some email exchanges, this guy is insane.. also known as Nas or Naz in Montreal, anyone remember that name? had dealings with Everest (Montreal Everest not the Toronto good people)
 
This company called me twice today to get business. Both times asked for rates and told me would call back.

Notified them that we cannot set them up based on reviews from here and didn't even say another word and hung up.

Do not use them at all. It's just a group of fraud people trying to destroy the reputation of transportation.
 
Matt just called and offered us a six skid order from Miami, FL to Mississauga, has to run exclusive, $3400. Based on what I've read here, I've decided to leave it alone.
 
Still trying to collect from them. Call everyday with no answer. You were smart to pass!
