I'm sure glad you said this djsstrans. I have been following this thread and I cant believe this individual has the BX#LS to say anything. An appology and a little appreciatioin would most likely have gone a long way. I wonder how he would have felt if you delivered his freight 2 months late.

It's still not too late to go to the D.O.T. Though I suspect he would probably start back up under another name... Regardless, he still won't see a stictch of freight from me...
 
I'm always amazed at people booking loads with trucking companies they claim did a great job, but down the road , they disappear or next thing you know they have double brokered you load, the great job really means doing the load for the cheapest rate, and lets face it , it's not the service anymore it's the rate,,,,,call someone on the load boards, and the first thing, is I'll need a rate, or i'll check with my customer,, but mean while your customer has contacted three other load brokers, so freight rate spirals down, and it's the transportation company, that has the largest overhead, because the cost of a desk and phone/fax lines, are nothing compared to fuel and so forth. As for large brokers like CH, it's a pipe dream thinking they will go away, and why do people think that 1.50 per mile is good, maybe they should get there head out of the ass. Finally, there are tons of great people in this industry, on both sides of the coin, but like the flys hanging around the airport waiting to taxi someone to there house, the trucking industry has the same problem, no on is watching them, or better still no one wants to say anything.

i'm a small carrier for anyone info.
a motor blew on me and i did what i need to do to get it back running again.
i'm Sorry DJSS got the small end of the stick but he did get paid and i have the receipt that he did.
2 weeks late but he got it.
Even though they make it seem as this has been going on for 1 year.
they called up some of my clients that have nothing to do in this.
just to put me down.
one hell of an understanding guy i tell u.
he wants to get paid right away and thats fine but to mess up my reputation with my clients directly, i think they should be hung and go bankrupt for everybody sake.
do get in the ring with DJSS because if you do, you may be right as the sun shine during the day, but you'll pay the price for a small sidestep.
 
Two weeks late???? You were invoiced March 10 09 we received a money order June 12 09.
The invoice was 90 days when you paid it. And you had no choice, pay or get charged with fraud.
Who's the idiot??

And i also have truck issues it's been at Toromont for 7 weeks and nobody can fix it.
And nobody went ballistic, it's called insistant.
Your version of what happened is fantastic if not delusional. If throwing insults around makes you feel better, knock yourself out, but at the end of the day YOU double brokered a load YOU bounced a cheque (trying to buy time) and YOU did NOT pay our invoice before 90 days and the threat of being charged with fraud.


Anyway.....this is getting ridiculous, have a nice day.

No No No, don't stop, keep it up boys it a pleasant diversion from how I spend my day. Fighting with drivers, customers, suppliers and of course my wife.
Listening to you kids go back and forth is great entertainment.........
 
We are a small carrier too, but when we have "setbacks" we let people know RIGHT AWAY. Obviously, trucks and trailers are completely unpredictable pieces of metal with tires and parts that break, wear out, etc.....
Being a carrier is a pain in the butt but one has to let their creditors and customers know when things are going bad. If the other party is reasonable, they can agree to a payment plan or whatever so that both sides are satisfied. Bouncing cheques, not returning phone calls, ignoring invoices, etc is only going to be met with anger and frustration.
"Setbacks" and "issues" happen every second in this industry and they have to be dealt with on day number 1 - not day 90, 120, 200, etc........
