We did a load for them in February and was paid in 28 days, it is the only load we did for them.

BLACKMAIL!!! Freight got damaged in transit, of course not their fault, charged us 10' of trailer space when it took 7', didn't want to accept responsability for anything, and when I approched the issue, well I was treated like a theif. They were convinced that I was going to cut their bill (now I wonder why they get bills cut!?!), so they damanded payment before delivery...and the delivery was very important so Karen had the upper hand! In case of a cargo damage during transit, cargo owner has the right to file a claim within 60 days of delivery against carrier insurance policy. Freight charges has to be paid in full prior to claim filing. I am not a fan of NJ, did not like the attitude we got from Karen ending up placing NJ on our DNU.

A common misconception economy, but no, the freight bill does not have to be paid prior to the freight claim being filed. The freight charges must be paid before the claim is settled or finalized. The carrier is obligated to begin an investigation of the claim as soon as they receive an intent to claim notification. This is required regardless if they feel they are responsible or not. The freight charges are a part of the claim just like the repair or replacement of the damaged goods.

Recently we did shipment for them. pick up load ON to AB and BC. Shipment pick up NOV/23 and cheque received on DEC/27. But we always ask at the time of booking ( last one in March/2017) that we need to get paid in 30-40 days and she has paid us with in that. We might be just lucky then. Yes, we dealt with Karen.

I spoke to Kara @ NJ Transport, a very RUDE lady. They did a load for us from US, I asked for the ACI manifest, she refused to provide us one. In fact she is saying that we are the first one to ask for the stamped paper and ACI manifest in last 10 years. In DO NOT USE LIST. Blocked her. She was even giving me threat that she will collect the money directly from my customer. BEWARE!!!!!!!
i used NJ transport on a load from richmond bc to ontario , they took a full load 25 pallets and split onto 2 trucks demanded payment from me and the customer before they delivered the load , asked for money transfer and then demanded cash , these people should not be allowed to do business ,, i contacted the trucker's association as well as load link and asked how they can let them post on the load board or even have access to it , Kara is so rude ,, who does that with a full load that was picked up and wasnt over weight , they are crook's plain and simple ,, never do business with these people if you want your freight

Endless lies. I have it all in email - proved the lies to them. They still maintain they have not lied.
I have no idea yet whether or not they double brokered any part of the load - based on the comments here - I am checking. Double brokering is not always bad - if all parties involved are aware. The key is communication and also whether or not the carrier you book the freight with handles any portion of it or not. The largest carriers in the world do not even come close to doing all of their own pickups and deliveries - many get brokered out. D&R, UPS, FEDEX etc. However those companies also do the linehauls or local P&D's themselves as well.
Companies like this - with a reputation like this - that you cannot deal with and continue to screw everyone over - they simply have to go.
Has anyone on here ever contacted Loadlink about them? Any other forums? If not we are all only causing more pain for the next person. I do not know where else to go yet - I have contacted Loadlink though. I am so tired of companies like this that I will just continue to work in anyway possible to make sure people are aware.
Another note - feel free to add a note at the bottom of all of your future load sheets - that the load you are giving to a carrier is meant for them to move only - if any other carrier is contracted to move any other part of the load without them first notifying you and agreeing - that the carrier may be at risk of not being paid at all. Of course this happens without notice with common carriers - and you know that. With others - there are endless potential reasons why you cannot have it happen - the next carrier may not have proper insurance, etc - could be brokered 4 times - not just once - best to save yourself if you can. Best for us to all work together to get rid of them.
Also - it makes me wonder when I see positive posts or OK posts about a carrier after reading all of the bad. Just because you may not have had issues - does not mean they are still not double brokering your freight. Also - I know of many endless fantastic carriers that we deal with - However most people do not have have time to go out of their way to type positive comments on here about them. So - if anything is positive towards them etc - is that them posting it themselves, or someone posting not knowing all may be fine but their freight is being brokered out without them knowing?
I'm sick of companies like this!!! We need a system in place that removes them permanently - make sure they can never own another business again.

I used to deal with her but i cut them off. She is very tough to deal with.

very unreliable company will not deliver your freight without getting paid first... who pays without a POD and invoice that too no quickpay fee? they wanted COD on LTL freight..ridiculous. These women have no sense of how the industry works and like to work there desi style ways uneducated. they will take your freight double broker it and get the money and not pay the carrier that is hauling there freight. DO NOT USE this carrier otherwise you will regret it when you dont get paid... stupid uneducated ladies who do not know how to run a business!
