National Cold Chain

National Cold Chain with an address in Concord had their FMCSA revoked today. I'm not sure how they are connected to the ones in Oakville or the one in QC but just keep an eye out if you're using them.

Looks like a lot of people from Transplace and Wheels at NCC, anyone know who owns it? Seems to have appeared on the scene fairly recently…

Pretty sure it's three partners (all ex of Wheels from before Radiant purchased them)

John Kelly, Rob Donaghey, Jason Venditti they were all pretty involved in the refrigerated freight at Wheels as I recall. There was also some Wheels folks there for a while (Donna Scott, Nitin Saini)... Not sure if they are still there or not.

Thanks for the info, I am surprised Transplace didn’t take them to court for taking a number of staff members…

It's a pretty uphill battle for a company to prove that an individual(s) is able to take anything from a company that is primarily a service provider. This might be different if one was to take trade secrets or recipes from a company that actually manufactures something. The company would need to prove irreplicable damage and Non-Competes are no longer enforceable. The only ones that would make any money off of a lawsuit would be the lawyers.

I don't think Transplace cared. They only wanted the accounts where the sale was at C-level and involved in the SaaS and that stuff ... if it was general freight movements they really just moved on.
