Moto Transportation

Well like I said, they are quirky, and a little slow at responding but consistent if you are content with slow and consistent, if that makes any sense. If you have an urgent LTL shipment that absolutely needs to get there..not someone I would use. The voicemail recording is funny and refreshing if you have a sense of humor. But the transportation industry can remove a lot of that humor. So I get it. It's different but still funny.

Their greeting is pretty cool not going to lie but I'm sure they get rid of some of the harsh words it can come off as quirky and rude to some people. Also on a side note, I have lived in BC my whole life and have yet to see a Moto Truck, they primarily use 3rd party carriers if not entirely.

Ya, that's the only thing that really worries me. We have used them for at least 4 or 5 years and have never had a real issue. They seem very professional, collect their wares efficiently, a bit expensive but if it works on that lane TX to AB or BC more power to them. But the agent carrier thing bothers me a lot. We have curtailed their use a lot since we found out about the agent carrier status.

BC to TX and VIce versa you cant go wrong with CSA, they have their own and use 3rd party here and there. We've used them before and they have excellent service.

Yes, we were using them but found them to be like Moto but at one point more expensive and less responsive, like 2.5 hours to get a rate quote by that time pick up goes to the next day. But I'll take your recommendation in hand and re visit them on the next one. Thanks for the information.

I would reach out to a CSA rep to see if they can set you up on their online portal to automatically receive rates. Very similar to Polaris so easy and user friendly.

I have them on DNU. Gave them an order TX-AB, took 14 days to deliver.
Because I understand sometimes things go wrong, I gave them a 2nd order. Big mistake, even worse service.
BC to TX 17 days. Delivery was required for the following week, no later than Friday which was no issue for their transit schedule.
Day 1, they decided not to pickup with no reason nor communication about the change. Then it did not make the line haul over the weekend. When it finally arrived in TX, the linehaul was an hour late and even though they knew this was needed to be delivered the previous week they did not wait and sent the truck out for delivery without my order. Then it was they don't deliver every day so it would be next Monday. Zero accountability, zero effort made to fix.

Although the service and pricing is usually good, this agent carrier thing bothers me as well. It means relinquishing a degree of control over my customers freight, something that I really do not like to do. The “carrier” entity, whether it is CSA, Moto or Polaris are all well intentioned and seemingly well organized and responsible, however can anyone say with a degree of certainty that the “agent” entity, who I have absolutely no relationship with, will give the same level of service that the “carrier” claims to offer? It is a ”leap of faith” to a degree, trusting a company you have never met, never spoken to and have no history with, to blindly entrust your customer’s freight. I have found in the past that some of these “agents” really don’t offer the level of service that we normally require and expect from our carrier partners.

We have them on an LTL from San Francisco to SK. We find their correspondence and responses are always in a timely fashion.
Picked up on May 16 and delivery ETA is the 24th.
Doing what they said they would...
