credit?

I'm a little new at this, but is the credit rating on Link not accurate or not correct or something? Because they have an alright credit rating by the looks for things. . .

the credit on LINK is outdated and i doubt it gets updated as they stated. my company still shows old owners from 2 years ago, thats how current it is.

Credit good on the Link? payment index 62 in red Risk 36 in Red.

If you want updated Credit you must double click on the graph Icon on the left then call in to get updated report, otherwise the report may be very old!! be cautious

Do a forum search on MCS - you will find the latest. The only way you get paid is to SHOW UP. They don't like people coming around. Also - they are posing as a different "three letter" company when they call dispatch - then they give their Airport Road address as the pickup or bill to address. That is how our dispatch caught on to them. They don't call here anymore - and yes - they don't pay. Took months of chasing and then post dated cheques galore....

BEWARE....BEWARE....

And again we have to ask ourselves how these people stay in business? Not paying is stealing. And theives should be charged.

if they still offer freight for sale and are not paying, why not pick a load and when the pay what they owe deliver it!

there is an old saying
"never get into an argument with an idiot...they will just bring you down to there level and BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE".... this seems to be the normal course of the day in transportation anymore.
it use to be in trucking that we strived to excel at customer service and on time delivery.....for a fair set price and usually getting our money was never questioned.. somehow along the way and we are all guilty of this...
greed and deception took over any commitments to trucking excellence..
in today's market place ,the morjority of the people you 1st make contact with has no idea why you called, will take a rate without providing any info, has no knowledge of shipment size, weight and commodity (yet they called themselves "dispatchers"and"customer service agents")
so many people are involve in trucking, who are just "hanging on" that they will book anything at whatever price....
all of these ingredients put together has created the perfect breeding ground for "idiots" to exist and they know that most of the time we will not take the time to sue them on small invoices so on and on it goes...
while we are bitching and crying the blues about them they are collecting millions and planning the escape route...laughing at our stupidity while they spend our money.
unfortnately for them...most of us have now played at their level for so long we are now "experienced idiots" ourselves...
time to shut out some of these people..

suggest we start a collective of small trucking companies (i'm only 25 trucks 36 trailers strong) where we place a lawyer on retainer, i actually have 1 myself.. we all pay a small monthly fee for him to do the paperwork
(which seems to be the main reason we don't follow up on small claims)
am sure in a very short time we will start to see a decline in the decetful tactics and most of us will be able to get back to the basics ...."trucking for hire"

long as we book questionable freight with questionable people we do actually deserve what is happening to us.

p.s... i did get my money from mcs trought a well placed call to his customer, but still upset that i have to reduce myself to such tactics over a mere 1250 freaking bucks.

We are suppose to have a cheque ready the end of the week, we had to send him a letter theatening to take them to court as they did not pay!

Stryker I have an even better suggestion for us smaller trucking companies, we have 30 trucks and 70 trailers. We should band together and share as much freight as possible at fair market rates and 30 days payment. We would set up service and communication standards that need to be followed to the letter and base the relationship on open and true communication. When we get our little consortium together we could then Sponsor other carriers to join, meaning vouch for them knowing if they are not up to the challenge the one who vouched for the company may be given the boot also. After we all feel comfortable with each other then we can start shaingthe good load brokers who we know are responsible, want good service and pay within 30 days. Then maybe we can approach multi national companies that normally would not talk to us and approach them as a stronger way of doing business because they are really not putting all their eggs in one basket. This would not be an easy task and would take a lot of commitment but the pay off could be huge.

low miler

this situation already exists.... called "tema", operated out of detroint but quite a few "reputable" trucking companies here in souther ontario are members and all freight is offered between members before it goes to the open market.

i did get paid....speak to jim... guarantees me he is trying to be an honorable businessman... time will tell.

Rumor has it they are open as Midcom Group. just something a little bird told me. Alledgedly they were operating as Transcargo, TCG Logistics, MCS Group, MCS Global Group, Greenline Logistics, Orbitran, plus a few others. Also changing to a P.O. Box out of Mississauga. Amazing these guys haven't been hunted down and ... well ...

We were taken by Micheal Forrest as many of you were although it was for 16 loads shame on me.

I have a postadated cheque from early September I was given for one load early August! if anyone wiuld like to play tennis. The only other payment was a western union money order for 900
