I absolutely hate Loadlink. I want another Canadian loadboard to put these guys out of business or at least give them strong competition. Their customer reps are rude and unprofessional every time you call them for anything. We couldn’t even work from anywhere else except our office, and if we ever did, we had to explain to them the reason for remote access like we owed them something. At this point, they are just milking the carriers with the most basic information at a premium price. They have been bumping their prices every year because they know that they really don’t have any competition.
We got in a situation where they were showing an inactive MC/USDOT as active in their system for over a month. I filed a complaint, and they dodged every call and email until they could solve the issue. It took them almost 2 months to remove that carrier from the board.
I am seriously looking to partner with someone who is willing to create a more logical and cost-effective loadboard to give these crooks a competition. I cannot stand them!

There has been a lot of interest in an alternate board but each time one starts up, nobody jumps on or if they do, they look once or twice and say there are no loads, not trucks, and no options.
The fact remains that LoadLink is a quazi division of DAT. That setup gives tons of visibility across the whole North America transportation space with decades of history and buy-in from almost everyone and anyone in the industry. Every large broker automatically feeds the machine with all their loads giving the impression of freight.
For a newcomer to come in, they need buy-in from most in the industry and most are not willing to spend more than one or two looks at it. If 1000 carriers and brokers start with an alternate but only look at it once or twice and put up a load or two, or a truck or two, over two weeks, it will NEVER be successful. It needs to quickly ramp up to 25000 subscribers who use it all day every day for it to be even a touch effective.
Loadlink has that subscriber base and it gives results. Getting to that subscriber base has been proven at least a dozen times that the new entrant cannot outlast the time it takes to get there.
Don't waste your time. I've tried all the other options and they're useless. Focus your business on parts you can control.

unfortunately this is true, any alternative loadboards just don't work. As terrible as the service is, it's pretty much impossible to survive without it.

The only way for a Loadboard to even have a chance at succeeding would be to start the service at no cost, whether that be through a lengthy trial period, or for it to have some kind of free to use model.
Even then, it would take years for them to establish themselves in a sustainable way, which would mean a hefty investment from people willing to wait years to turn a profit.

I was so happy when Logistware started up. I paid for the first month but then they opened up as free for everyone. Really good load board concept but again still needs more traction. Hard to find stepdeck or flatbed loads as of yet. Have any of you tried that site. I love Loadfusion too but nothing for me on there. I want a free trial before I commit to a paid subscription.

Need an Investor of some sorts with deep pockets and an IT group and someone that actually responds to issues. Would love to see a Load board that also vets whom they allow on there. The Facebook Loads can not be doing anyone any good either, that seems to be the new load boards

Logistware vets all carrier and brokers. They seem to have a good amount of Dry van loads. Harder to find loads or stepdeck on the alternative load boards.

I will say I am one of those guys that played with Logistware right at the beginning and then reverted back to old ways maybe go back to it here.
