We have had the other way around on our side this week. We have a lot of outbounds and no returns. But it is looking better moving forward, customers are starting to call in advance for return loads.
No slowdown on the local side of things for us, every day is a busy one around here. Can't speak to the trans border from a carriers aspect, but from a brokerage side, we haven't seen any less freight this week inbound or outbound. This year is way ahead of last year.... I agree, its off to a excellent start. Nice to see our extra capacity absorbed virtually in a couple of weeks. Now the battle of finding more drivers, glad its not my department.
For us, the year to date and this month as a whole have been strong. However as Michael experienced, this week after Memorial Day has been somewhat quiet. Things do look good going into June, so hopefully just a blip Michael.
I hope so too
While you guys are looking at your stacks of loads ... if you happen to see a steady gig into Carlisle, PA for either a dry van or a reefer, let me know. I'm interested.
It's a bit strange, with so low CAD it suppose to bring volume up, but , I guess, vacation season overpowering..
I don't think PANAM affected so much..
I disagree on the PanAm I think everyone who could took the time off, there is no traffic at all but I bet back to business next week in a big way...........here's hoping anyway.
