I am not Ian. I am a relative of Sheldon Langner. If anyone wants to reach out to me, welcome, 646-683-4036.And send binoculars if you want to try reading anything he has written down on his desk!! I remember my first time picking up a check at the office LOL what a place!!
and he did it before the advent of the computer. I worked for him one summer back in 1985 where the phones were ringing off the hook. Anyone wants to reminisce about Sheldon, or talk about getting good loads , you can call me,HAHAHA... Rob is correct. I'd forgotten about how small the print was on the paper desk pad on his desk.
I was sent down there in the 80's to pick up a cheque.
I had to call from the phone booth in a donut shop across the street. He would come downstairs and unlock the door. Boxes and papers everywhere. But I'm sure the place I went was on Spadina. I'm sure he's moved a few times since then. I have no Idea how he gets freight. He doesn't seem to be the type to ever leave the office.
I am trying to locate Ian, does anyone have his number?I am not Ian. I am a relative of Sheldon Langner. If anyone wants to reach out to me, welcome, 646-683-4036.
sheldon passed away on december 5, 2017 at 88 years old, dispatch is gone but his memory will live on,He's a legend ... and a dinosaur. Much of what he does is just loading renegades ... he doesn't care about the equipment or the safer stats of the carriers etc. Everyone has done business with him under one guise or another. His real name is Sheldon Langner but he's called himself Gerald and Howard recently as well. Hiding from the authorities.
If you're in the GTA and don't mind going down to his office at Bloor/Bathurst, he'll cut you a check on the spot. But he's allergic to stamps. If you have any interns working in your offices, send them for the pick-up, his office is a sight to see for sure.
sheldon langner, the legend, aka harold, gerald is no more, he passed away peacefully at humber river hospital on december 5, 2017, He was 88 years old, shy three weeks of 89. Anyone has any comments or memories or even need a load, you can call sheldon's nephew, Earl and that's my real name, at 718-541-7415.believe it or not, I am his nephew.

There's someone on this forum who has known him a long time. He's legendary lol. I'm not so sure about his ability to pay bills.
