Another million spent on something we all new years ago.

Properly inflated tires save fuel. The new systems only ensure the pressures are proper.

A driver doing a proper pre-trip could do the same thing for the price of a $5 tire guage and access to a air pump.
 
actually the TPMS sensor is good not only for before & after but during. I highly doubt the driver would randomly stop to check pressure, whereas if the sensor goes off once a tire has a lower pressure reading during the trip you could save fuel by fixing the issue asap & also save money by not blowing tires.
