I am looking for flat bed rates out of Douglasville, Ga back to Alliston. Freight not starting until May or so.
Anyone down there regular might be interested please?

Hi,

I can handle them for you.
We are a carrier and third party logistics company.
All freight would be moved on other carriers trucks.

Would this work for you? If so please send me an email with all of the details.

Did anyone stop to ask if Caper is perhaps the importer of the goods?

I'll admit, I jumped to the same conclusion but hey, open communication and ensuring everyone is one the same page prevents the issues that people associate with double brokering.

We have several chemical brokers as customers and every now and then we see them work in conjunction. The answer why is simple - they want to service their customers, they may not have the same suppliers that the other one has and don't forget the all important making money together along the way. They work together and all parties win.

Keep well,
Mike

Thanks Mike Jr, that's the same reason why I didn't jump on this right away (as I usually do!). If we knew more about caper, and whether or not he was a broker, shipper or carrier, then we could make the call if this was a case of double brokering or not. In any event, if caper does decided to use the services of a broker, stand alone, or logistics division of an asset based carrier, he would be well served to ensure that they are properly licenced and insured as a broker. Not just for his sake, but also for the protection of his customer.

Hi Mike,

I am not the importer of goods. I do work with a freight broker but not exclusive as I am a freight consultant thus I look for carriers to give the business to them directly depending on the customer needs. I do appreciate the members wanting to know.
