Cheap Freight of the day

Half his stories are probably BS, but hey he is probably the most enagaged with dude on the app. I'm sure he'll have his own memecoin soon enough.
Have to be.

The amount of bragging he does about how much he makes on his customer's loads... I refuse to believe there is a shipping manager out there that is okay with him making 1k on a 500 mile run... unless of course there a little under the table deal.

I had a US broker call me looking for a truck from BC to FL, berries, said they "pay gud", I asked if that meant $10,000 and they countered with $4,000 USD, they were clearly green as gras, wet behind the ears, first day on the job, can't tell the difference between sh!t and shinola; I kept talking with them for the lulz and was transferred to a manager after I berated the poor chump on the rate, it was $1.25 / mile. The manager countered with $5200. No wonder brokers have such a bad rep!!

We can only work with what we have. We either quote “competitively” with the hope of getting it..or.. we quote it to move..which means we don’t get it. So pick your poison.

IF a buck in a quater is all they can pay tell them to shove it up their ass until they find a rate sustainable to the poor slub that has too pull it. Produce at 1.25 a mile let the shit rot.

I do, when the rate is stupid low like that. But I’m talking more about the loads that are right on the edge..rate is on the cheap side.. but when you squint you can almost see it working out…almost..

Its Friday... Last cheap freight of the day was early August.... Should i make the assumption that rates are picking up cause none of yall showing me my friday fix of cheap loads?

Who's floggy the cheap loads today and how sketchy of a broker are they?

I know the game, I do it daily. My rate never goes up $1200 in 30 seconds and I don't pass the call to a manger to negotiate for me or answer basic questions on the load.

I understand the principle of anchoring in negotiations and when BATNA come into play.

The really stupid part is they had no clue I was a competitor, if the load was something other than berries I would have asked more questions and found the shipper then called them to see if I could help. I was dealing with amateurs who think they can broker freight, tired of the clown show.
