Can anyone give us any payment info regarding CG Group of COmpanies. I found the name a little unusual, they called us out of the blue and aren't on Loadlink. If anyone has done a load for them please let us know.

thank you

Gord

Run as far as you can from them , This CG Group of Company's is the same person Cassandra Gareau that was partnered with Cory Maddocks with TD Logistics who just recently went bankrupt and burnt a lot of carriers including us

We also received a call and two faxes. If you google their address, Nathalie Gareau's name also comes up as well as United Fibers Trading.

Thanks for the heads up Rob and DWC!

So as I read this thread I'm racking my brain trying to remember where I have seen this name before. Then it hits me like a brick in the face ... it's in my junk email box !!!
I got the same notice Rob got, but mine came by email. No introduction, none of their information, nothing. So, I engaged the following electronic countermeasure;

Right click on the email header
Scroll down to Junk E-mail
Mouse right to "Add Sender To Blocked Senders List"
Left Click

Problem solved.

I was told CG Group of companies refuses to use loadlink, last week I called Batman Logistics (a division of Robins Group of Companies I guess) and it was the CG Group of companies people.....on loadlink. If Batman or Robin tries to book a load with you keep in mind you are dealing with CG Group of companies...................whoever came up with the name CGGOC also came up with Batman logistics...............those Jokers.

Hi Everyone, This is Nathalie - To all of you that have been bashing CG Group or saying that it's part of TD Logistic you are all wrong. Take the time to inform yourself, I was never part of TD Logistics. I was in recycling for years. As for the Owner of CG Group, Cassandra WAS part of TD Log until TD started doing things that she was not made aware of and she left the company. She never stole money, like some of you are saying. Carriers doing business with CG Group DO get paid. So please, next time, before bashing someone, get your facts straight. We are here to stay and we do not use the LINK as a personal choice. Thank you to all our carriers that disregard this crap and choose to do business with us, and yes they do get paid! Enjoy your day everyone. Thank you to the carrier who told us about this site and yes, he will also get paid for doing a load with CG Group!!!

Michael, not sure how this site works - I wish I could reply to your post directly, but YES that is fair - IF you are sincere, we are interested,

Nothing to it ... just send me your carrier package and we'll get set up. You have my email address.
The "IF" part sounds like you're doubting my sincerity. I couldn't possibly be more serious.

^^^^ ... LOL, that's funny.
I'll give you the story so far.
1) Rapport with CG seems to be pretty reasonable.
2) Carrier setup was actually quite painless, and fairly simple compared to others I have experienced.
3) The "Contract" ... this is were there are a few issues. It's really a point list of terms and conditions that the carrier agrees to. There's nothing in it to protect the carrier, but there's also nothing in it to protect CG either.
a) The first point no one in there right mind would agree to as it's worded, so I crossed that out.
b) The second point just requires a little negotiation between the carrier and CG, which as far as I know has been accomplished.
c) There is a clause at the bottom that I personally don't care for, so I did not sign off on that part.
d) There's no place on the document for CG to sign off that there is an agreement in place, so in the end, the document isn't worth the paper it's written on.
4) A load was offered, but CG staff booked that with someone else before all the details came to me, so we couldn't connect.

Currently I'm sitting on the fence. I can't say one way or the other whether CG Groups is good or bad. So far the experience has been generally positive, but in the end, it takes money to buy whiskey, so when we actually do come together on a load, I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks, we will await your continued updates. Thanks for your ongoing efforts to improve clarity in the industry

Maybe all you carriers that have deleted us, or thrown away the faxes we sent or put our emails in your junk will do like Michael Ludwig and give CG Group a chance. That's all we ask, is a chance and you will see that you will be paid. Thank you! Nathalie

They also list Batman Logistics as a credit reference on their website.

People, we are done defending ourselves, the carriers we use know we pay them - just give us a try for a small load if you want, or simply don't deal with us. Not wanting to be rude, but people who deal with us know we are busy and doing well and we pay our bills. You can always reach me at info@cggroups.ca
