RAILGATE / HD TG REQ! OVERSIZE CRATE!

2 CRATES
88" x 76" x 81" high @ 1990 LBS EACH

OTR or RAIL

Posting because our logistics team is having problems finding a carrier that can support the crate size for TG.. Midland and a few other big boys won't touch TG freight greater than 72"

We have experienced the same reluctance from carriers to tailgate high skids/crates. There is a safety concern involved unless perhaps there were two people on the delivery.

@EricG : worse case scenario, ship it in a regular van and call a flatbed tow truck at delivery site.
.Just a thought, eh..
That was my next option :) great minds think alike... Freight is valuable, so its prob going to move as a TL @ $6400 instead of LTL, just can't find an LTL option we are comfortable with. The flatbed tow is an idea, waiting on client to confirm we can tilt his $100k crates.

They should be there.. Mostly use to carry 4x4's or AWD's which are quite popular lately ;)

This special delivery sounds like it needs one of those really big tailgates. The kind that fold up against the rear doors, pretty much covering them. What about a household mover who specializes in show or machinery freight, or even a machinery mover? This isn’t the first time big, expensive crates have been moved, there must be someone out there.
