Candid Haulers - court scam - check your credit report if you have ever done business with them.

We were just informed that they are going after a receiver for payment on a load we already paid them for in July of 2022.

This paralegal company they hired, letter went out mar 26, 2024, must have their contact info.

Isn't this considered theft then? If you paid them and they are now going after the receiver for payment, sounds like theft? They are jeopardizing your business relationships with this as well.

We have a court date set for April 19th. I can provide location in case someone wants to physically serve them.

Fraud maybe; not theft. They are alleging they were not paid which they have contacted a paralegal to investigate. Any paralegal worth their salt would receive the information of proof of payment and then tell their client they are out of luck on this one. If they were paid in full and continue with legal action then they would be making a fraudulent claim to which the proof of payment will clean it right up.

let me guess, their Paralegal is John Schneider? the same man who was their VP of Administration lol.

I am flying to Calgary Friday to attend court proceedings they have against us, and we have proceedings against them in Saskatchewan. So will be interested to see if he actually shows up. He has won previous suits against a couple other carriers I would rather not name. This was due, according to the 2 carriers I spoke too, not attending the proceedings due to thinking it was comical, and awarding the judgement to Candid Carriers. We know the odds of recouping our losses are slim to none, but its about putting an end to this guys rein of Ponzi schemes and scams and profiting from proceeds of crime. I am beside myself that nothing has been done to stop them and it continues. I'm going to give it a good shot come Friday.

they only one director listed on Corporate Registry, and it's Jain. John Schneider is their "VP" of administrations. If you want to find him, he will be at Calgary Courts on April 19th.

@boxermom hope you don't mind me asking but how your court date ended up. You noted that Candid did not show up, did the judge throw out the case/rule against them? We have a court date coming up with them too. They/the Judge has pushed for it to be in person and we are not in Alberta.
