Does any one have info on a company called Americas FRT. Doug is the
dispatcher and they run to Virginia.
 
Just one shipment from last July. No problems on pickup or delivery. Hope that helps?
 
I deal with Doug all the time, he has been around for awhile. Godd rates and good service. Good company to deal with.
 
Let me share a story about Doug @ Americas Freight Link. Used to work for Bestway Cartage many years ago, far before me. Started this operation doing LTL from ON to the southern east coast, MD, VA etc.
Called me to book my LTL from ON to VA, gave to him. Asked for the driver info who was picking it up, would not provide. I maintain a good relationship with all the staff over at Bestway, and as it turns out, my order was DOUBLE BROKERED to Bestway without their knowledge that it was given to Americas Freight Link by myself. When approached about this, he sent me my fax back over to me, handwritten on the confirmation "No one dispatches my drivers other than me. Signed D. Boyce" Or whatever his last name was.

I gave romeo the same rate that I was planning to pay Doug. ($+50 what doug wanted to pay him)

I know the boys over at Bestway are real old school and they have NOT dropped their rates like all the rest of the providers and they DO NOT take cheap freight like most of the other guys in the industry and they are one of the few providers that I can actually say that are operating a good business and are trying to acheieve the rates that should be paid, not what everyone else is offering. Believe me, Romeo and Dave have told me to beat it more than once if I'm too low on a shipment and that's OK with me.
 
Dougie is old school - He's a good man and does a great job for me into just about anywhere in VA (or nearby).
 
Americus FRT ???

I use to do a small amount of work with Doug until he left a shipment in VA unpicked for 2 days. Each day he promised to pick the next day. It wasn't til I cornered him on the 3rd day that he got pissy with me about my shipment. Is this good, honest service?? I think not so he is on my DNU list.
 
i had used him in the past with no problems. however had freight picked up in VA which he promised a friday del. he loads 24ft trucks out of there, he wasnt able to get truck full so he left it down there for the weekend, my freight was delivered tues, a week after pickup and he had alot of excuses. I will not trust him again.
 
Just received a invoice for the shipment they just did and it was doubled brokered( other carriers POD) pisses me right off .... DNU
 
I have used Doug - America's Freight link - and have experienced all of what you all are saying - some good - some bad.
