My relative was an owner-operator over 10 years ago for Ken Campbell when he first started CMX. They were always difficult to work with, it was so difficult to get paid he almost had to beg the girl in accounting to get his check. He did an interstate load for them once because it was very difficult to get back to Canada in those days. It was an adventure to get paid back then with CMX and of course he quit after a few months of barelly surviving and not being able to make truck payments. I use to make the drive all the way from my home to Bowmanville to pick up the check and believe me it was always late and every excuse was used. Things have not changed over 10 years later they are still up to no good. The Campbell family owns CMX and their roots are in the irish enclave or Verdun, Quebec before they moved to the Toronto area. I can tell you they break every single rule in the book when it comes to everything in transportation, I would never ever ever trust anyone from this company or any Campbell in the trucking industry and that includes his son Don up the road in Bowmanville running Maximum Logistics. Better communication is needed to expose what these guys are up to.
Remember they will NOT pay you and there's no doubt the freight was double brokered. I dont want to see any more truckers get screwed by the Campbell clan in Bowmanville, please spread the word about this unethical company.
We work damn hard for our money and risks our lives on the road every single day to earn just enough money to support our families. It is despicable that the Campbell Clan is still around doing the same over and over again.
I would like to add that if loadlink allows a company like CMX to use their database with full knowledge of the problems then Loadlink is also part of the problem.
