Hi everybody,

This one man gig called Bel and Bob Transport -
Jerry Hundal is this individual's name:

68 Amarone Ave. Unit 68
Woodbridge,ON
L4H 2N8

Will never pay you for the job done!!!!

Dispatchers usually never google companies and their address in order to see that it is a residence and actually is not a legitimate trucker or so..

Disaster..

You do the delivery and they don't pay you.

If anybody gets a load by chance - hold it until he pays you by credit card. And charge him a lot. Let's force him out of business!!!!

Teller, we been through this before. I ran (well my wife ran) 5 trucks from the kitchen table. It didn't make us no less legitimate.

This company is on my top 5 worst companies of all time for sure.

Gave them a load from Laredo. They confirmed pick up, agreed delivery date, even confirmed delivery, only to find out 2 days later it had not delivered.

When we called, they still said it had been delivered even though we knew at this point that they hadn't even picked up.

Then suddenly they stopped answering their phones. Absolute disgrace to the transport industry. They need to be put out of business for sure.

As always, it may take me a year or five, but one day he will be driving a hell of a long way to pick up a load that doesn't exist, at which point I will kindly remind him of how much he cost me when he screwed me over in 2012.

At the risk of getting my fingers slapped for getting off topic...I for one (and maybe buzzy too) take exception to your remarks Teller and find them offensive.
I would be classified as a one man show (5 trucks), my office is at home (my shop is elsewhere)... do these two facts make me less legitimate than someone who chooses to increase their overhead and lease a suite somewhere?
I have 30 yrs in the business, and managed multiple locations in Canada and the US before starting my own venture. My SAFER is 16/16 on inspections, my CVOR is fine, my customers are happy, I own my trucks, my name is on the door and my bills are all paid. Am I not legitimate in your eyes?

Perhaps a company like MacKinnon Transport is much more legitimate in your eyes?

Well said Dave.

He may be blind, well said Dave,
Running from home doesn't make anyone less legitimate, there are companies out there that operate the same way - that have yards, fancy buildings and everything else.

Well said Dave

You are quite right.

I started from my home as well, we are now into LTL and needed a dock. So we have a small terminal.
We made it through the recession paying everyone of our bills and carriers.

I do admit that I would like to be able to receive all the free publicity that Mackinnon is receiving in all the trucking magazines for having re structured. Only, I have an ethical problem with not paying my bills.

I seldom post comments on the site but I can't resist this one.
I would rank Bell & Bob as the third worst carrier that I've dealt with in thirty-five years. The other two are thankfully, already dead.
We needed a timed, trailer load, tailgate delivery of electronic equipment to a point in Texas on behalf of one our larger customers.
Bell & Bob assured us that they had a TG equipped trailer. Everything checked out when we did our due diligence and so we contracted the load to them. This was not a cheap load because the service was paramount.
After receiving their confirmation of delivery (verbal), we, as usual, followed up with the consignee who denied that the truck had arrived.
We spent three days sorting out lies from the B&B owner/dispatcher. After I personally visted his terminal (in his dining room) twice, he finally admitted that the load was still in Brampton.
I located the trailer (not TG equipped and barely roadworthy), inspected the freight and arranged for an expedited shipment with a highly reputable carrier.
Thank God that good customer relationships survive this kind of crap.
This has NOTHING to do with fact that this is a small carrier or that they operate out of their home.
This has EVERYTHING to do with integrity and basic business ethics.
We deal with the highest quality carriers in Canada and the U.S. Some are very small. Some are very big. All make mistakes (as do we). All of them admit to them and fix them.
Pretty simple really.
Thanks for your time,
Larry

Complaining to the MTO Carrier Enforcement branch will result in carriers getting audited and a carrier like Bell and Bob is probably on their radar. It's remarkable they haven't been shut down. A site visit like Larry made is probably enough justification for a man with a MTO badge to come in. You can be sure that there's probably a lot wrong. I've called them before and found them to take an interest right away if you give details and explain why a carrier should be visited.

He also has called us numerous times on freight we post out of Houston. Double brokering I assume....

Gave this guy one load to Texas said he sent his truck at 8:00am to load, upon numerous calls to Jerry at Bell and Bobs and tons of lies we ended up contracting another carrier to move this load the next day as his truck never did show up , They called our customer from the load confirmation and told them they could do our freight a lot cheaper and more efficient, It just so happens that the logistics person at our customer is a family friend, can you say " busted " he was basically told not to call and where not interested in using there service, you gotta love it

They left me in a bad spot over the weekend

So I probably should have looked these guys up before tendering a load....they were to pick up on Friday at 5pm sharp for a Monday del in Cali. No one showed up..no one answered the phone, email, I even faxed. This was Friday pm....Saturday at 7am I started again...when I realized I wasn't getting anywhere with this douche bag I quit and was helped by a great RELIABLE carrier.

Needless to say, there are some good out there....this guy needs to go and fast! I have since advised him to lose my number and will inform ALL my industry friends to stay away as well!!

Best I saw from them, is they posted a load, from if I remember correctly, Montreal, PQ to GTA - within the comment box noted "Great $$$ ".

It just made my day, I just kept on laughing for the rest of the day.

Bell and Bob Transport Ltd

I have received a number of calls from carriers who have been blind sided by this company, loads being picked up but not delivered or delivered when they felt like it. I have been informed that the father no longer has much to do with the business other than drive and the son is running the business. I have spoke to the son and he is everything but polite or professional. Their new company is called Hundal Xpress Ltd.

is he in Link? if what under? I want to make sure to stay away from this guy as I lost a very large customer due to his crappy service.

Hundal Express Ltd. ex. Bell & Bob Screwed us!

I feel really stupid now for not using this site. We booked a load with Hundal Express Ltd. on Friday to deliver in Florida on Sunday by team expedite. The freight did not pick up Friday but did so Saturday. I wish now it never did. It is now Tuesday at 1:05pm and our client is still awaiting the freight. We have been lied to over 100 times and told the freight would be delivering shortly for the past 3 days. We have never experienced such problems. The guy I am talking to presents himself as Jad but I did get a call from a suspiciously the same voice saying he was Steve the operations manager and he was here to help me. We are now being told this will deliver tonight at 7:00pm which is another lie as the entry information shows the shipment released at 1:00am today! I am going to take the advise of a post below and call the MTO to see what they say. We have already called the police and notified the NTBA and Load Link. Stay away from these guys!!!!
