Just a heads up, loadlink has added a new feature 'connected email' - in doing so, it has bricked the ability to see the posters email address.
They claim its for security purposes, due to all the fraudulent activity & spoofing lately, fine - I can understand that, we have received a few fake emails ourselves... HOWEVER, if that really was the reason behind it, they would make the new feature accessible to all package levels, which they havent, so its just another money grab

We have the platinum package currently, which states on their website it should be included, but yet when I tried to set it up, it told me it was unavailable for my package.
So I call them up, & after I send them the screenshot of their own website, they tell me that was an error & it is only available on the upgraded Diamond package, or the downgraded Pro package - which Pro is basic & doesn't access DAT, so no good if you run crossborder.
I dont need any of the crap they are offering in the Diamond package, so its just a waste of money for us.

They are absolutely unwilling to do anything to honour their mistake, which blows my mind.
We dont use link very much, but like anyone else, our direct clients have slow seasons and we do need to use it from time to time to keep our drivers working. As a small carrier, their rates are already astronomical.

Currently we pay $675/month +$40 per extra user - however, the fees went up in November and are now $725 +$40 for the platinum package, so if we want to upgrade to Diamond to be able to see email addresses it will be $825/month + $50 per user!!!

**OH and the other change they are making in the next week or so, is that you wont be able to post your email address in the comments anymore!!

Just in case anyone checks their website, they have advised me that they already changed it, so screenshot below.
I wish someone would create a little competition in the load board market!

I dont understand why we pay so much more for LL compared to what people are paying for DAT in the states. Its the same if not better with some of its directory features.

I primarily work US domestic loads. A lot of these features and stuff you are seeing is directly correlated to the scams running in the US.

The email thing in comments for example. People will get hacked on DAT and post 20-25 loads with a slightly different email in the comments. If they hacked TQL, they would post @TQI instead of @TQL.

Guys moving quickly don't notice its different cause they are just copying and pasting the email to get the deets.

DAT had to remove posting your email in the comments. You can get around it by posting E d d y. Smith @ TQL . com

I assume Loadlink will be the same.

All in all, Loadlink sucks ass but here is a little insight into why they are making some of the changes.

Also @loaders, its because no one has come up with a viable alternative to Loadlink. People have tried, no one switches and it dies. Until someone does, monopoly means they charge whatever they like for it and we have no choice.

Hi all, I'd be happy to chat with anyone about Cargado. ken@cargado.com or cell 647-892-3401.
We're building things different and the experience and engagement is important to us. Your feedback is what it's all about. We've got a lot ahead of us to do - it's a huge undertaking to compete, but everyone at Cargado comes from freight - we're not just tech people. This industry is about relationships. I'll be travelling a ton this year and hopefully meet many of you in person.

Stay warm everyone! Ontario got wacked with tons of snow,

I have a situation I would like to share with Loadlink. We have closed operations due to financial reasons. I advised loadlink to cancel services fifteen days prior to next billing cycle (Loadlink bills for advance services. A Dec 19 invoice if for services from Dec 19-Jan18). Loadlink sent multiple emails offering reduced pricing for future services (which should have been offered prior to notice to cancel) but that is just the crappy service we have received from Loadlink. We were strong with our initial email to cancel all loadlink services PRIOR to next billing cycle. What does Loadlink do, they sneakily charge our credit card WITHOUT authorization for a service that we did not use. All of our trucks were parked and we were not using Loadlink. They did not care. They stated they needed thirty days notice to cancel. Now, we have filed a dispute with BBB and filed a claim with our credit card company. Loadlink cares about money. They do not care about the service they provide or their customers, in my opinion.

this is stressful - and we also went thru something similar. Long story short we were charged as they require a 30 day cancellation notice per their agreement.

this is just LL finding out about loadconnect and others offering this exact same thing. IT was a smart idea, and they just took it and made it their own. Granted its their loadboard but classic "thanks for the idea" moment lol.
