We took a load from Ajax to this Amazon DC in Nepean last Sunday, got there in time Monday am and my driver was told it was a drop trailer, when they tendered me the load I asked the guy who called me later on the phone how long was going the drop trailer was going to be since the order said drop trailer and the tender was sent to us only 4:30 hrs before the pick up, I try to not send it back because they immediately hit your score, he said just a few hours, we don't do much stuff for them but I trust them since they are mostly straight and fair, the receiver once the driver got there told my driver that it was 72 hrs, so I opened a case and they started emailing the DC, asking for and et of unloading, they were not answering, Tuesday past by, I asked my driver to stay there while I tried to resolve the issues, in my life never I had heard so many lies and excuses, they moved the trailer to a dock but never touched the load, today my guy was at the window at 6:00am again we decided to stick around on behalf of goodwill and lasting relationships, to our surprise the receiver said that it could be another two o five days since that load was not important to them, my driver asked like 20 times to speak to a responsible manager, always very nice, to no avail, the ROC, opening a case and the rest of Amazon gadgets were not doing anything but sending the whse emails that they never responded, so this morning I asked my driver to give the phone to the receiver to talk to him, very nicely I told him that I wanted my trailer empty at 10:00 am exactly 72 hours since we dropped, or he had the option to return it empty or loaded and we would take the load back to Ajax, he refused both options, I told him that I would call the cops and that neither one of us needed that, he said I don't care, so I requested the Ottawa police for assistance, when they went I tried explaining them on the phone that we were all the time around the trailer waiting, that we never surrendered or lent it to them, it was a one time arrangement and that the fact that the trailer is my property and that sort of supersedes everything else I wanted my trailer back immediately, one of the cops was telling them very nicely that the trailer had to be unloaded and returned and so on, the other cop was just talking about this been a civilian matter and they had nothing to do over there, in the end that officer made an arrangement with a fat whale that supposedly is the manager of the whse that they would release the trailer tomorrow by noon which I doubt, I expressed the need to have the trailer back right away but the cops were already convinced by them that it was fine like they agreed to, I ended up feeling like one of the cops was bargaining my property rights away and left us empty handed when we have the right to remove the trailer right away. Any opinions on this ugly experience will be welcome. Thanks

Do not work with Amazon - had a similar experience at the AB location / they wouldn't let us go get food or use the washroom there - and the warehouse staff was just plain rude

There's no such this as good will with amazon. You are a number - nothing more, nothing less. If you can't put up with their disregard for efficiency, don't take their loads. You'd be amazed how much better life is without Amazon freight

Amen! in the end, any profit is absorbed by the BS they put you through. "Open a case"...thats a joke. They have taken over Walmart as the worst.
