Customs Brokerage

Livingston says three hours before they touch the paperwork - everyother broker is 1 hr

Lies, maybe 6 but definitely not 3 on a normal shipment. Lately we have been seeing faster clearnaces, 15 mins to 3 hours for PARS but we do have the odd one that will take 12+ hours

Freight is slow, less for the brokers to process. Trickle down economics baby ;)

If you have to wait 2 days for a shipment to clear with these people could they not change their hold music daily????

Hi! Anyone finding issues with the Livingston Paps/Pars tracker this morning? Just keeps "loading"

Sadly am having to deal with them this morning as well, but am not experiencing any issues with the website, just the usual problems lol

From Livingston apparently:

As part of our ongoing enhancements to our Canadian brokerage systems in preparation for the Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) upcoming Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) initiative, Livingston will be performing a partial, planned systems outage that may result in a delay of customs documentation to the CBSA. This planned event is part of a series of upgrades being made to improve operational functionality and resiliency.

What you need to know

We will perform this planned system upgrade beginning Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at 11 p.m. ET to Sunday, Sept. 3, at 11:00 a.m. ET. This is a planned upgrade and not in any way related to a cyber event. There is no need to be concerned about the security of your systems or data.

Livingston has alerted the CBSA about this upcoming system upgrade, and we are taking steps to ensure the continuous flow of your goods. We have chosen to perform this transition at this time as it is typically a period of relatively low-volume activity.

Please be advised that there may be a delay in the transmission of customs documentation and status updates on our Shipment Tracker during this time. We will employ a paper-based contingency process during this period to limit the disruption to trade flows. Should you require a status during this period, please reach out to our contact center at 1-866-548-7277.

For any critical shipments arriving over the weekend, please reach out to me or to a member of our service team in advance, so we can coordinate and set up advance shipment notification.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and appreciate your ongoing partnership.
