Some information to the community....

BCB International excels at prompt service and compliance with Customs regulations.

At times being the transport you are able to express your opinions to clients about specific customs brokers and can influence a client to explore other options regarding clearance with US Customs.

My information is below and can discuss rates and provide brokerage quotes to interested parties.

BCB is always excellent to deal with. Never any issues from our prospective as a carrier!

We have been with Thompson Ahern (TOCO) on the inbound and their US company is TAHOCO and they are the best. Small enough to know your business yet big enough to handle large volume.

Afternoon all,

We have a client that is wanting to FINALLY get rid of Livingston. We've given them the names of a couple better brokers but I thought I'd come out to the board and ask who some more of the favorites are?
TIA
PR

For those customers who require Canadian bound shipments I recommend:
Integrated Customs Services Ltd
430 Springbank Ave S,
Woodstock, ON, N4V 1B2
519-539-8431
[email protected]

Ask for Janna, tell them that Jim referred.
I second Mrs Steef and her team the loads they get clear for us Livingstunned would just reject. I have a customer buys electrical componets online all over the darn place. I send a ebay bill to ICSL and they will generate a customs invoice and get it clear. I know for a fact they do overseas as well.

We are always recommending better brokers to our customers that use Livingstoned, a lot of them like them because of their credit terms. What terms does ICSL work with?

I use this company religiously - Janna, Sadie and the rest of the team are amazing. Highly recommend.

I'm sure that the terms are dependant on a number of specific details based on the customer. The customer will have to negotiate that with Integrated.

ICSL is the best broker, bar none...absolutely fantastic.

This little ditty was attached to a POD I rec'd today. My shipment was not cleared via Livingston, this just appears to be a blanket disclaimer on their email. It's the first time I have seen carrier call them out directly like this. The frustration is real.

Livingston International Delays:

Two hours is the average time it takes for a shipment to be entered and cleared at the border by a customs broker, from the time the customs documents are submitted to the customs broker, to the time the customs broker entry is submitted to US/Canada Customs. We retain the right to add charges for detention instances at the border as a result of Livingston International customs broker being unable to submit an entry within a standard two hour time frame.

I believe, and someone correct me if I am wrong, but customs brokers are required by mandate to process an entry in two hours or less. If memory serves that requirement was part of the mandate put forth when customs on both sides of the border switched to ACE and ACI.

Livingston says three hours before they touch the paperwork - everyother broker is 1 hr
