Hey Alex / VJ,
Please learn how to respect Carriers. When you called us, you started cursing at my Dispatch as soon as he answered your call. We do not tolerate abusive language towards our employees. You (Paige Logistics Ltd.) are being blocked from our system because we do not work with Brokers who are disrespectful and use abusive language towards employees. Please take your business else where.
Thank you
I can't be the only user reading this and thinking

Well, the problem is still the problem - Prove you have trucks
but we are now taking issues with being spoken to in "abusive language" while not mentioning to all the other people who could and are reading this, how many trucks YMO has.

Sounds like manipulation

I am suspectiing I am going to be called "racist" as ive seen this circle many times.

Hello Everyone,
You guys are asking for the # of Trucks we have. Also, asking to share pictures of the Drivers with the Trucks holding current News Paper. With all due respect, Who are you to ask for such pictures and proof ? I'm confused, Do you guys work for Google or for a Freight Brokerage ?

I understand your work is slow and you guys need something to do. But I'm sure you guys can find other things to keep you busy, rather than sit here and demolish a companies name without any facts/proof.

I understand everyone's concern about Carriers who are scamming brokers. But that is not the case with us. All of you here are accusing YMO of being "shady" without any facts/proof. Most of you brokers don't even have the courage to share the brokerage you work or your real name.

There are a lot of Brokers who are scamming Carriers. So now what, you will provide Carriers with all your Employee Selfies ? Common Guys, grow up.

Name one company who YMO did wrong to ? There is none.
If no one here and tell YMO did them wrong, than who are you guys to judge and make false accusations about us? We work really hard to keep our name in good standing by providing the best service possible to our clients. So I would appreciate, you not ruining our name just because you guys are bored and have some free time now.

Any customer we work with, we give them the best service. Communication is always there and the freight is delivered on time or before time. Those are the 2 most important things in this Industry.

So I request everyone, to stop with all your assumptions and False accusations. If you do not wish to work with YMO, that is totally understandable. No one is forcing you to work with us. But that does not mean you sit behind your computers and start attacking a hard working company.

Anyone have issues with us reaching out, please share your Brokerage name and we will not reach out to you guys. Simple!!!

Stop being a Key Board Warriors and stop attacking Hard working Carriers.

Cheers!

weird situation, post they have trucks and post at same time they have loads, seems strange , but not trying to judge , just want transparency

@Ruler, There is something called checking the Market rate.
With all due respect, you don't have a website and you are less than 1 year old as your company opened according to the Canada Business Registery at the end of January of this year. How do you expect people to trust you? Especially when you come online with this terrible attitude, unfortunately until you become established you will be seen as just another number company in Ontario.

This is the current landscape in world of trucking at the moment.

I also just checked Transcredit and I cannot find any credit report on them

Why not pick up the phone and call a few carriers to see what the “market rate” is? It also offers a great opportunity to establish a better business relationship with your suppliers. Human interaction usually results in better outcomes than computer to computer transactions.

I call carriers and post loads to check the market rate all the time but as many of you might have guessed, I'm a freight broker  and I'm brokering loads, in fact I like big brokered loads and I cannot lie. You other brokers can't deny...

@YMOLogis How many trucks do you have?

And I'm so tired of jumping through a thousand hoops trying to prove that I'm not the same guy the broker got burned by earlier this week. I've been a carrier over 25 years, we have lots of publicly sourced information to prove that we exist and provide the intended service. Before anything happens, brokers can look at my FMCSA information to confirm dates of authority acquisition, insurance, SMS scores for valid inspections, CVOR status, website, google maps. We share a ton more information about our address, bank, WSIB, get our insurance broker to send certificates directly. Then get asked to log into some website - make me fill out forms, we get asked for all my lanes (which nobody ever looks at), transfer all the information from our W-8BENE into a form (why can I not upload this), CTPAT certificates (which we are supposed to add them to the portal). Some brokers use Highway which makes the owner get a code by phone, then have to send his driver's license and selfie just to get logged into put enter the information.
Now we have to get the driver to take a selfie in a specific spot in front of his truck and within a minute send the VIN number for the door panel. Then brokers want to dispatch the truck, talk to the driver, ask how many hours he has left on his log, ask if she has enough money for tolls, what fuel cards do you use, dispatch to a second place to pickup extra freight, oh and now please download this app on your phone so I can make sure you're on time. This is also followed up with send me the paperwork and the border crossing documents. To top it off they call at 4am to tell the driver that he's been stopped for 11 hours and you should be driving by now.

Yes, brokers have it tough, they can get burned by a guy who holds a load ransom or double brokers. Usually, they picked this carrier because he is the lowest rate by a bunch and didn't look at all the warning signs - just got their authorities, never used them before, never heard of them, new user on load link etc.
Carriers have the exact same problem but in reverse; we get brokers who go dark and will not answer their phones, do all that crap noted above but not pay any accessorial fees, short pay because the driver's battery on his phone died and it took 20 minutes to get their Macropoint back on, overload the driver, lie about the appointment time, no touch freight turns into hand bombing (but don't tell anyone, I'll throw you some money through interact after you're loaded), no customs paperwork. To top it all off I hear - sorry the customer did not approve any additional fees.

I'm all for due diligence but some of this is way over the top. If you're dealing with a one truck, one guy carrier, fine, then ask away. If you're working with a carrier who has dispatchers managing drivers and equipment, then asking for their insurance to send a VIN list and having drivers with selfies snap pictures in front of their truck holding today's paper is way too much. When the market turns around, and your customer is screaming to get his load moved in a tight market, brokers better rely on some other method to confirm the validity of the carrier because you'll get none of it. The carriers taking advantage of brokers will be out there in full force milking it. Now is the time to make good relationships with carriers when you can.
Absolutely! we will not send a pic of our trucks vin to anyone and risk a shady company then using that as there own. we have elogs that track for our usage and don't ever put anything on our drivers phones ...its just to much !! a lot of this can be avoided by building relationships with legit carriers with good reputations and reaching out to them first. but most just "post it" to get rates and use the cheapest to "win" the freight. then complain about the service lol.
we had a guy ask why I'm a carrier and a broker ..because we also broker a lot of freight for our customers and believe in doing things right by having broker insurance and surety bonds in place. I was told that was shady lol just cant win. The stupidity is plentiful in the industry

Did you know that our insurance company now requires us to ask for pictures of the carriers trucks to avoid scams? Usually just one or two pictures is all that's needed as long as the trucks are not identical in the picture and it's clearly not AI generated, which isn't that easy to tell and this is a fairly recent update as of the last year. And then you get a carrier saying oh I don't need to send you any pictures? You should just trust me, from what I'm reading.

I must say, Alex and (I don't know VJ) have been a member of this forum for many years now and have caught many scammers for this community (read through them) and they have never shown anything but respect to this community. Their tools for vetting carriers are even recommended by some insurance companies now, and how do I know? because we use the same insurance broker. Clearly your actions must have prompted scam alerts and based on your comments probably resulted in strong language and it was probably deserved. I would also like to thank you Alex and (VJ too) for your continued support of our industry and trying to keep us all safe from scammers. Drop me a line anytime.
