WTF is a "Dispatch Service" ???

I've seen the "dispatch service" a bit over the years, usually a single owner op that pays someone to find them loads which I understand they can't be searching for loads while driving, if we do decide to use these guys their company still needs to be vetted to ensure everything meets our requirements even if we have previously worked with the "dispatch service" for other companies.

But that is not how it works. In our case, when we use these guys, they send us all of the paperwork/details of the carrier they gave us and we then deal directly with that carrier re: payment, etc. Honestly, with both Umair and Tim, we have never had any issues and we now have a few dozen new carriers we deal with (through them mind you). But as far as actual dispatching/paying of the loads, it's broker-carrier relationship.
Umair Alvi, booked a bunch of loads under Yasoob and dispatched multiple carriers with different MC's. Look up Yasoob/Saf in the search to get an idea of what was happening. This may not be as forthcoming as you think it is, check the PARS/PAPs.

Thanks for the heads up. We haven't used him in 6 months and though we never had a complaint/he checked out each time, where there is smoke there is fire. On to our quickly growing DNU List he goes. We will call him DNU #906456. :)

Too many calls from the so called "Dispatch Services" and where is the guarantee they wont use my authorities to do something sketchy? As far as I see it our business is built on trust between carriers and brokers or carriers and customers. A simple piece of paper ( load confirmation) gives me the ability to take possession of your load. I am an interested party in this transaction, to complete it and get paid.

Where does a "dispatch service" come in? making a lousy 3-10% ( is that sustainable business?) With their 1-50 employees all outsourced in... who knows where, with bare minimum experience ( 1 supervisor probably looks after 10-15 people booking loads). Most important is your information/authorities, its shared among a 3rd party that's barely ethical with employees that can branch on their own tomorrow and use that information because who is going after them?

In my opinion this is just a recipe for something wrong to happen. We already have scammers brokers/carriers that are just double brokering loads and not paying. Imagine creating another layer to this... Covid-era solution, that has to fade away asap.
