Next time this happens, at 60 days, I'd be calling the shipper and receiver and informing them about the unpaid bill, and the potential of them having to foot the bill for the transportation. Plenty of legal precedent can be found online with a quick search.

is there any way to get the payment out from them than?
In person visit maybe ;) otherwise you are up a creek without a paddle at this point. Your receivable is from a company that is bankrupt, technically if you weren't listed as a secured creditor, your getting nothing from old corporation.

Maybe have a transportation centric paralegal send a demand letter to the shipper and receiver?

Hi Inside Transport People,
We gave some loads to World Wide in September, but we are deeply concerned that they double-brokered the freight and may continue through bankruptcy without paying the end carrier. If you handled a load for them and are having difficulty getting paid, please contact me directly at jenny.perlitch@perlitchtransport.com

This is such a stand up move.
Would you elaborate on what you mean by that? How else would you look for the end carrier other than by investigating and asking around? Isn’t the purpose of this group to prevent fraud from happening and to help rectify it when it does?

This is a double stand up move, as Perlitch Transport is both a FMCSA licensed carrier…..and a licensed freight broker. Refreshing to see a carrier go the extra mile and register as a broker, enabling them to legally sell off their “excess” freight.

Just what Loaders said. It's nice to see a company trying to get the carriers taken care of. It was a compliment.

I don’t see how this is a “double stand-up” move. We’re a reputable company with excellent credit, in business since 2007. My safety team identified the situation, and we’re simply trying to make sure carriers are paid - isn’t that the purpose of this group?
By attacking me without reasonable grounds, you’re defeating the whole purpose of this forum and discouraging people from speaking up. It’s a seriously disappointing spirit and shows a lack of unity.
In a compliment, the term "stand-up" is an informal American English phrase meaning that a person is authentic, credible, reliable, and loyal. It describes someone of solid character who can be trusted to do the right thing.

Ask them about their rates. Very stand up making sure that the WW loads are getting paid you bet. Offering a buck a mile on freight not so much.
