I'm sure that I am not the only that is curious. What happened to this site since last Thursday? Glad to see that things are up and running again.
 
That was my guess. After the last few attacks, it just seemed too familiar. Why would a bunch of harmless truckers and brokers be the target of some hacker geek? Why don't those people get real jobs and put their computer skills to work?
 
Dear Members, the website was hacked and we just finished restoring it we appreciate your support and will continue to keep this up and as secure as possible taking new measure to secure this every time we experience down time.
 
I also find it strange. This community is largely one of camaraderie, information sharing and some humour to lighten up the day...
Not exactly a huge target.
Unfortunately, hackers hack for no reason more than 'they can' sometimes. Likely a junior practising for a 'real job'.

Those hackers must be one smart and persistent group! You never know when the site is going to be up and running these days. Down again for most of today again?
 
Afternoon Members,
This coming weekend we will be switching hosting companies and moving this forum to a new board that we hope will eliminate the downtime that we all have experienced.

All posts, threads and user profiles will be transferred, we hope to minimize anymore downtime and bring you a new experience with a new board.

Likely not.

VBulletin has had thousands of sites hacked over the last few months.
They hack because they can, nothing more. There's quite a few articles out there on this.

Exactly Mike. That's what makes this whole hacking thing so maddening. The hacker gains nothing other than the knowledge that he/she has really inconvenienced a whole lot of people. No money, no award, nothing. Brainless, cowardly geeks, sitting around their parents basement with nothing better to do. Maybe a little rough for the Christmas Season, but those jerks really get my blood boiling, can you tell?
 
I can tell.
Perhaps they actually get a feeling of satisfaction (not knowing that really they have contributed nothing to the world and in fact have taken away).
When boys become men (or girls women) they will learn the things that are truly satisfying, productive, blissful and things to look forward to in life.
