Can anyone provide insight on delivering to Wegmans in Rochester. I need the good the bad and the ugly. Lumper service, unload times. appointments, all that fun stuff. Any information is much appreciated.
Thank you

Appointments when we where in there. Our loads where straight run offs so no lumpers. Appointments are set via email )sorry I lost the email in a computer crash. Overall for a grocery warehouse they where decent.

We used to deliver there weekly at my past employer ( 3- 4 years ago )... As long as you arrive on time for your appointment there will be no issue. Arrive late however and you will wait and wait and wait. They will not push everyone else's times back because one truck arrived late.

Play by the rules and you're fine.

We unfortunately had terrible experiences with them and stopped going years ago. I cannot speak for the current state of affairs, but the loads we took did require a lumper and the offloading took many hour to complete, despite trucks being on time for appointments. It seems like they may have improved by other members' comments, but I, personally will not take another chance with them. Don't mean to sound negative, just want to put forth our experiences there. Have a great weekend all!

thank you for the feeback...anyone interested in full 53' tandem loads delivering there 1-2 loads per week (shipping ex Toronto, ON)

we used to go there as well, had the same experiences chica did.

They have moved a number of their straight pull clients to lumper services in the last 6 weeks, causing significant delays and issues. Most telling I think, is the fact that they did not notify the vendors of the offload charges being instituted (vendor has been supplying them for 9 years so far without charges), and will not provide cost recuperation for the addded charges to the vendor.

If that isn't an integrity test.....

If you're going in there with FDA product, make damn sure your customs broker gives you the FDA clearance form and you present it when you arrive else they will reject the load.
