We have somebody's freight! Came from Last Mile Logistics/Omni Trans/Kuldeep Otal

Is there a packing list noting a shipper or receiver? You'd think a reputable cross-dock would have paperwork for every load they receive.

Keep well,
Mike

Unfortunately it wasn't exactly a professional experience. We got caught in the usual full payment before delivery show. Eventually agreeing to payment in full on the condition we get the freight onto a trusted asset at the same time. We get get sent to this cross dock in Calgary get loaded with what looked to be everything. Driver was not allowed on dock at time of loading. Minimal paperwork was provided by the cross dock. A good majority of our freight arrived on site missing a few lose piece. We also received 3 skids of the freight in question on the nose of the trailer. Nothing about this experience is any less then embarrassing... However if I can get some missing freight back to somebody that would be a plus.

LAST MILE LOGISTICS - AVOID THIS CARRIER !!!

Extremely unprofessional and frustrating experience dealing with Asad Syed and Kazmi.

We booked this carrier for a critical, time-sensitive shipment. They knew and agreed to our 30-day payment terms before accepting the load.

After picking up the shipment, they suddenly demanded immediate pre-payment, also added disputed and unjustified charges of around $1500 cdn and threatened to keep our freight in their warehouse instead of delivering it, even contacted the receiver directly demanding payment before delivery. The shipment was treated like leverage, and we were left chasing the carrier and practically begging for our freight to be delivered.

Because the shipment was urgently needed, we made the requested pre-payment in an effort to get the situation resolved. Even after receiving payment, the freight was still being held.

This is an extremely poor way to conduct business. Agreed payment terms mean nothing if a carrier can simply pick up your freight and then change the rules after they have possession of it.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, LAST MILE LOGISTICS is not one we would trust with another shipment.

Brokers and shippers: do your due diligence, get every term in writing, and think twice before giving this carrier control of your freight.

Would not recommend this carrier. There are plenty of professional carriers who understand that holding a customer's freight hostage is not an acceptable business practice.
