You can just track weather reports online - they tend to be very accurate especially if you have anything going into BC. I always make sure to track myself, as I've had bad experiences with carriers using 'weather' as an excuse when in fact there was nothing but sun out in the west of Canada.

Well other then word of mouth from drivers actually on the road I find https://511on.ca/ helpful. They show road conditions, an interactive map, any incidents/closures.
\It's been quite helpful for me when cannot get into contact with a driver on the road.

Schools and Buses are closed all over. Listening to the radio, I've never heard the list of closures so long.

401 and Don Mills was a disaster last night. Car and trucks could not get up the hill.
