Hi All,

We are working on an opportunity to have two chartered cargo flights per week from Shanghai to Toronto. At this time, we may have availability of up to 20,000 kg's / 85 CBMS 2x per week. We are looking for other forwarders, brokers or carriers who may have large volumes coming out of China that can cargo-share these charters with.

Shayne, I need details on volume to get you that. Rates are though the roof right now at about $14 / kg. Not saying that's what we would charge but gives you an idea. Call me to discuss further

Just an update on the above, we have decided that we are handling full charters only as co-sharing is too much of a risk. That being said, we have aircraft available within 5 days notice. At this point, we can handle up to 135-750 CMB;s (weight doesn't really matter here if it is masks, protective gear etc as most of this product is light). As of April 20th or sooner, we are connected with many charter aircrafts that will be removing the passenger seats and filling this with freight bringing the max CBM's closer to 280.

Please note, we are fully educated on the exportation laws out of China and importation laws into Canada and the USA. It's a bit of a dog's breakfast out there and people are getting burned all over the place due to their lack of knowledge here.

hey, 14$/kg is way too expensive. my cost directly to airlines or dhl is 6-8$usd/ kg

market rate per kg being charged to the client is 9-11 usd $/kg

Shayne, I didn't say that is my rate, I have seen these rates that is all.

Funny that this appears to be the only site referencing such action. One would think that something as monumental as shutting down airspace should be reported more prominently. Just smells a bit "off" to me.

Looks like China is trading masks for Vodka.... crazy....

I understand that there is an increased alcohol consumption world wide, partially as people have liquid lunches as they work from home and partially to put up with their spouses that they are forced to spend all this extra time with.

The problem: the Beer store is not longer accepting empties of any kind, whct do I do when my 2 car garage is full of empty wine and vodka bottles? Oh, and Gretzky cream, that's yummy stuff!

I am sitting on 5 cases of empty wine and liquor bottles. Evidently there are approx 73 Beer Stores across the province still taking empties. Of course, their hours are even more restrictive than all the other Beer Stores. I can only imagine what the line ups must be like! I just tell my my wife to look the other way when she sees them. So far that seems to be working, but I don’t think it’s going to last.
