US DIVISION FOR CANADIAN CARRIER

Maybe that was the plan all along eh? Just pick us apart piece by piece.

Alberta will cede from Confederation and become the 51st state.
Saskatchewan will follow becoming the 52nd.
Manitoba will waffle, but eventually join Alberta and Saskatchewan and cede becoming the 53rd.
The northern territories will join Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Ontario will try and go it alone, and fail, eventually become the 54th state.
Quebec will cede thinking they can go it alone. They will wither and die, probably still believing Alberta owes them money.
The Maritimes will cede back to England, or maybe France.
BC will smoke some more weed. Nobody wants them.

Reality Check ... there is no reason to believe Canada will economically bounce back in either the near or mid-term future. Essentially an economical wasteland for the next 10 years or so. I don't even think the conservatives can save us now.
They only possible path forward that I can imagine:
Poilievre cedes leadership to Danielle Smith, and becomes her deputy, ... "just a girl and her pitbull".
Doug Ford resigns. The guy is just too dumb to continue in any type of leadership role.
Canadians in general get off the stupid train.
We have an election in 3 weeks.
None of that is going to happen, but every kid at least gets a wish for Christmas, right ??? ... LOL
Sadly, becoming the 51st state is starting to look pretty good.
What is more likely to happen ...
Ontario will try and go it alone, and fail, eventually becoming the 54th state.
Quebec will cede thinking they can go it alone. They will wither and die, probably still believing Alberta owes them money.
The Maritimes will cede back to England, or maybe France.
BC will smoke some more weed.
And, Hockey Night in Canada will just become Hockey Night !!!

Dont want to turn this thread political, so I'll say my only piece

I’m no Liberal fan, but let’s not kid ourselves, Pierre and Danielle aren't some saviors that’re gonna turn this country around. They're just a bunch of polished politicians saying what people want to hear. Same script, different tie.

Canada doesn’t need another mouthpiece; we need someone with a backbone who actually understands what working people and small businesses are dealing with every day.

The only things the cons have going are riding on Trudeau’s failures, not their own strength. If they actually want to lead this country out of the ditch, they need a stronger leader with real vision, not another puppet playing the political game.

Again, without turning this post into a political diatribe, Carney is perhaps the best equipped leader we could possible have in these times of uncertainty in international trade. While the Orange Buffoon, grabs the media spotlight with his ridiculous antics, Carney, and other world leaders are working quietly behind the scenes to maintain some semblance of order to the financial world. Mark Carney spent years meeting with the world’s financial leaders and conducting intricate trade and finance deals with them. I shudder to think what the outcome would be if PP were tasked with these duties! People often accuse our elected leaders of not having enough or the right type of experience. What’s not to like about a PHD in economics from Oxford, Governor of the Bank of Canada, Governor of the Bank of England, a man who has spent his entire career involved in and completing trade and financial agreements? At this particular point in time with all the turmoil and uncertainty, I don’t think we could do any better.

You're not wrong, especially with China, the Pacific Rim, and Europe being our best hopes for future trade, that Carney is the best equipped dude ... he's just playing for the wrong team !!! ... LOL
