Anybody heard of Trans West Logistics out of Lachine PQ.

They are taking one of our loads hostage right now!!

Trans West Logistics (taking load hostage)?

They are the biggest reefer carrier in Quebec, it is not their habit to take loads hostage and they are usually very good with service.

Why would they do that to you..

Trans West - formerly Q west is among / if not the largest reefer outfit in Quebec. They focus mainly on California to Mtl area using teams, they do however cover all the lower 48.

We have worked with them sevaral times over the last few years hauling their excess dry freight back to Canada when the reefer season gets started.

They are well organized and professional. They count on their reputation. Could they have you confused with another carrier that stiffed them???
 
Frankly, I'm not surprised. They took 2 loads from us last year 2 days before pickup. On the day of pickup, their dispatcher who took the loads called us and told us we weren't in their system since we hadn't worked with them in a while, so unless we paid upfront (not even COD), they were bailing. Well...we paid upfront, they delivered both loads late and brokered one out to another carrier! This is the same Trans West mentioned above. I haven't dealt with them since, nor am I interested to. Good luck with your load, but i'm sure they will deliver if you pay upfront.

I know a driver there. This really surprises me. Looks like they may be taking precautions to avoid what they may judge to be risky business. I am fairly confident this situation can be resolved with a bit of common sense, try dealing with one of the managers. Good luck
